I love this place, very nice and clean. Fish always good and fresh and it's sooo cheap. aha £6.95 for big cod and chips plus mushy peas. who knows of a better place please let me know.
Decent place to eat Fish & Chips in London for what I imagine is an average price in this town. The portion was generous and satisfying, in need of salt, but nevertheless true to what I perceive to be British tradition. What this place lacks is the typical atmosphere of a British pub, yet this comment might not be justified as this isn't such a place. Some lively decoration would nevertheless be appreciated to ensure that the atmosphere lives up to the taste.
Great fish and chips, large portions, quick service. Ordered the haddock and chips with gravy. Crispy batter, chunky chips, and stood the test of an issue minute walk to the hotel. Really enjoyable meal! The gravy was rich and a perfect complement to the fish. This is my new go-to chippy when in London!!

I stumbled across this place whilst waiting for a bus in the rain the bus stop towards Oxford Circus is right next door.
Given the location the reasonably priced £1.50 regular small portion of delicious chips were made with quality potatoes not tasteless ones, they were fantastic chips (I'm picky with mine so trust me these were fab) & a surprise given everything is so expensive in central London these days. The guy who served me was polite and well mannered & I didn't even have to ask for a fork or napkin. Total thumbs up I will be back for a sit down meal next time I'm in the area 👌🏼 Thank you Alen's fish & Chips !

I visited Alen's Fish and Chips with my girlfriend week ago. We ordered Fish and Chips with mashed peas. We were given also homemade mayonnaise as a bonus. Food was absolutely delicious and portions were huge. Even though interior is modest it is clean and does the job. Staff is very friendly and solicitous and pays personal attention to every single customer. If you look for a nice place to eat something during your busy day, this is the right spot. You can take your meal away if you wish. I would recommend this restaurant without any hesitation.

Great fish and chips shop in the Clerkenwell area. The food comes fast and it is brilliant fish and chips! They do serve other meals and dishes here but if you are coming for the main thing you will not be disappointed. Prices are average for what you pay for. Cheaper for takeaway and a tad more for eating it. There is a nice around of seating space inside with a TV. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Got that family run vibe so makes it more down to earth. Would be coming here more often for fish and chips!
