I really love this place. The food is amazing: sushi melts in your mouth, soba is superb, tempura is crisp and delicate and desserts are really delicious (try the black sesame cheesecake!). The environment is very relaxed and staff is kind and always ready to help.

Excellent Japanese, maybe the most underrated Japanese in london. Almost everything we had was faultless. Cooked dishes are so so but sushis are super solid. And good value. The marketing is all wrong though, come on!!

Absolutely fantastic. Had the set tasting menu and each course was divine. Only thing I didn’t like was the dessert but that might be just my taste. Service was excellent and very attentive. Would 100% eat here again and definitely recommend

Stunning interior, good quality food, fancy prices ;) The sushi is fresh and tasty, the soba is slightly over cooked to me. Tempura is very nice, it does tastes like a good one from Japan, very thin layer of batter. Also cocktail is pretty good too.

From the moment you enter the giant glass doors, the experience begins. An impressive bamboo stairwell winds down to the main restaurant, which is beautiful, bright and airy. Its one of the few places that doesn't cramp diners on top of each other. Every course of food was beautifully presented and delicious - cooked, seasoned, spiced to perfection and service was impeccable. The soba noodles are even hand made, milled, rolled and daily by Head Chef Mr Sakurai.

One of the closest to Japanese omakase sushi experience in London. The soba was excellent while the texture of handmade tofu was a pleasant surprise. The price is high but I find it reasonable given the good quality of both food and service.

I think this place probably deserves five stars but there are still some improvements that could be made. The food is really good quality and it's easy to have a healthy meal. I'm no expert on soba (their speciality) but I had a hot and plain one as part of the set lunch and it's pretty good. Awesome that they cook this homemade noodle 🍜 in just 25 seconds! The homemade tofu is worth a try but I wouldn't want to eat that much of it. The sushi was really good quality and I know that everyone else enjoyed the variety of different things they had too. Music is nice and relaxing, none of this loud hyper stuff. Yes it's quite expensive but then again pretty good value considering they even have computerised Japanese toilets! 🚻

Enjoyed the Negitoro Maki, soba noodle was good and sashimi was fresh, the tofu and seaweed salad was very pleasant. Thumbs up for great services. Liked the interior decor, not sure why but the toilet Japanese style of washing was not working. Price is a bit too high for the volume but given the central location and atmosphere, it wasn't bad.

After hearing so many good things about Yen and it’s soba we have decided it was time we tried it for ourselves. I always choose the chef’s counter as you get to watch incredible dishes being prepared right in front of your eyes and being in the middle of it all. We had Omakase sashimi and nigiri and of course the famous soba with duck broth (hot) and it was a dream. Seriously could have that broth every day. It is delicious.

House made tofu is worth a try. It’s expensive for what it is in terms of Japan standard, however, it is much better value for money than Roka in the vicinity which this restaurant competes against
