I'm eating around the world without leaving London and this week I had Nepalese food at Monty's in Fulham. Apparently there are three of them scattered around London, with the one in Ealing being the original one. There is another one in Kingston and then the one I went to, on Fulham Road. The Fulham branch is located on the far end of the Fulham Road, by some pubs and Italian restaurants, with an inconspicuous signage on its facade. Inside the decor is just as simple; the furniture is rather plain, the table settings modest which they tried to balance out with the colourful wall ornaments depicting the Himalayas and Hindu goddesses.
I tried this one recently and it was a pleasant surprise to be here. The food is excellent as it is quite fresh and rather less greasy than a typical Indian cuisine, maybe that is the major difference between Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The ambience was quite nice and comfortable. This place is quite reasonable as well and the service is also pretty quick. I would love to stop by again.
I am a huge fan of Indian food and love trying new Indian dishes . This place will offer you some authentic Indian dishes. I had a paneer dish which was very lovely.
The service that they have been providing is very good , the waiters were very attentive all the time and yet they were not at all obstructive.
I would love to go here again because the value they give for my money is remarkable.
There is not much ambiance of this place so if any of you is an ambiance lover then you probably should just skip this place.
The food is so awesome , that you will forget about every other thing.
The dishes was filled with flavors and the staff was also very decent.
This is a nice little place offering some very authentic Indian and Nepalese food. The food tastes amazing, I'd suggest you try the chicken momos for starters, they are divine. The service is great, ans the staff is very attentive. The place quite affordable too.
I, along with a friend, visited this restaurant on a Monday evening. The restaurant was empty and that time and after getting our favourite seats, we placed the order. The staff arranged for a gas heater in order to make us comfortable. The food was very well-prepared and presented. It was a really amazing meal and the portions served were quite large. The atmosphere was lacking as the restaurant was quite empty, however, the thing that really mattered was the food and it was good. I would recommend you all to try the curry at this place.
I had a great meal here. Although it was completely vegetarian it was a delight to eat at the buffet here.
There was a great selection of dishes housed on the buffet and all of it was delicious and rather well prepared. I had a friend accompanying me, an ace cook and she too gave the food a nod.
The food here is appealing and appetizing and the the prices are at par with the good quality. Service is quick and efficient. Ambiance is very vibrant and lovely. Many people opt for their take away service. This place is always busy with people which speaks volume about their delicious food. Highly recommended!
This is a nice little place to go for a meal with the entire family. The ambiance is great, very warm and welcoming, and so is the service. The staff was attentive, and the food was amazing. We had no complaints at all and everyone was thoroughly impressed.
The food here is amazing and is freshly cooked. It was done to perfection. The ambiance is very enjoyable and excellent, giving it a good vibe. The menu houses some great dishes and all of the ones I tired were outstanding. The service here was impeccable and the staff was very helpful and kind.
My absolute favourite curry place, it really is so delicious and really reasonably priced. The man who works is there is so lovely and makes coming a great experience. I would highly recommend Monty’s
I’ve finally found a decent local Nepalese/Indian restaurant after years of searching! Really tasty food at a reasonable price - look forward to making Monty’s our new regular.
Delicious, friendly and just an all round classic Indian restaurant. The staff were lovely, they stayed open a little longer and everyone seemed super friendly.
Obviously we over ordered, but everything we chose hit the spot.
Highly recommend!

Who could ask for more
Monty’s is one of the best Indian/Nepalese restaurants in London. The butter chicken is absolutely incredible and I’m a big fan of the various naans. I cannot recommend it enough.
An institution in SW6. Nepalese cuisine at its best. I can't even remember how many times I have been there; always a pleasure to return and the food remains great. I am a huge fan of their traditional dishes (anything with black lentils) and their pilau rice. Does the decor appeal to me? No, I go there for the food.
I only discovered Monty's just 7 months ago and I've lived in the area for the last 10 years. I like to eat here alone. I'm a fan of the meat curry and vindaloo. Affordable and delicious, great combo! The customer service is brilliant too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Lovely friendly restaurant food was good and tasty reasonable prices and friendly and helpful waiter and good atmosphere must return soon.
Great food, £23 for the two of us, could have fed four (and I'm a pretty big guy). Asked for everything to be extra spicy and they got it perfect (95% of places can't make the food hot enough in my opinion)
