Taverna Trastevere - London - Photo album

It really feels like entering an Italian tavern. Small, with a few tables outside. The food is very good, the pasta is handmade. The price is slightly high. Very friendly staff. There is no access for wheelchairs, the restaurant has a step at the entrance, some of the internal tables can be rea
Being Italian I often struggle to find authentic Italian food. I think I had the best carbonara here, can’t find any other in London who makes it better(I have tried a few..). We also had seafood spaghetti and arrosticini, both exceptional. Cherry on top was the tiramisu, unreal! We will come back!
Although we live on the other side of london this is our new favourite spot. Always worth the journey to go and see Silvia and her passionate, knowledgeable team. The food is remarkable and so tasty. My partner and I have been twice and we intend to let everyone know how great this place is. The bes
Genuinely felt like a little spot in Italy. Carbonara was up there with the best I’ve had. Bruschetta and calamari were also delicious. Recommend saving room for the tiramisu as well, which was so soft and indulgent. Great food, wine and vibe. I’ll definitely go back again!
Best carbonara in London! Sometimes even famous Italian restaurants in London serve too salty carbonara but here’s was savory and seasoned well. Also all staff was so friendly and nice. It’s not low-priced but I think I’ll go back again
Went there with a friend without booking on a Sunday lunch when it was packed. They asked us to wait a few minutes and offered us a glass of Prosecco to apologise for the wait, as well as some arancini. The manager was absolutely lovely throughout the whole time we were there. The atmosphere was nic
Whenever I’m missing Rome or need a bit of Italy I always dine here. Taverna Trastevere is without doubt the best Italian restaurant in London. True authentic food, atmosphere and service. You really do forget you’re in London. Start with some classic supplì and save room for the tiramisu 👌🏼
One of the best Italian restaurants in London. Lamb cutlets were out of this world. Juicy, tender with a good amount of fat. Pizza is amazingly done. Full of flavour. Pasta was also good. Service is top notch 👌
One of the better Italian restaurants I have tried in London. The highlight was definitely the ragu, amazingly seasoned sauce and al dente pasta. There was four of us so we got a few dishes to share. Portion sizes for the price are also fantastic, lovely atmosphere on a sunny evening.
Amazing service, true Roman cuisine and lovely atmosphere. The dishes are scrumptious and prices are reasonable. The ragù is super, and so is the cacio & pepe and amatriciana. Well done
I’m an Italian living in London so I always look for restaurant that cook proper Italian food and this is the one! 😍 food was 10/10,nice staff and location. Recommend also for occasion. ‘Must try’ fritto misto, spaghetti con le vongole and tris of tiramisu. I absolutely reccomend it 👍🏻
Great atmosphere and truly friendly Italian service. Good selection of food to try. This place has a hype right nowthanks to social network, so I tried the carbonara, very good indeed but not the best in London ! This claim is a bit overrated. Definitely recommend the place for traditional Italian f
One of the best Italian restaurant in London that I’ve ever tried! Authentic Italian food, great quality and the service was superb. The manager and our waiter were kind and funny people. I really enjoyed my evening with them with laughs and jokes. We tried calamari and gamberi fritti, tonnarelli al
Really enjoyed the food here! Everything was good but the lamb cutlets and carbonara are “must haves” for me. The carbonara is apparently the best in London so worth trying. The starters and desserts were equally good and a pleasant surprise as we tried dishes that were new to us like pizza bread w
Felt like going back home! The service was nice and quick, the food quality was amazing at very competitive price. My boyfriend request some flowers on the table and the staff made it happen. An authentic Italian spot in London, extremely recommended 👍
We were 6 Italian guys who were looking for an authentic Italian Food Experience. I cannot hide that we were extremely satisfied, the carbonara pasta was amazing and the staff was super friendly and polite! I Absolutely recommend it!
Stepped in for a quick lunch in the hood on a weekday and was mighty impressed. The pastas were sumptuous, left me salivating even at the end. The decor of the place is pleasing as well and I imagine it would look fancy in the evenings. Need to go back and try more of their menu!
The only Italian restaurant in London that makes you feel at home. I cannot begin to explain how good the Carbonara is, always perfect, always so good, cannot find a better one in London. Service is always on top and you never leave disappointed.
