The restaurant is split into 2 sections. The entrance is izakaya style where you can get okonomiyaki and other stuff. The 2nd part is for ramen. You have to decide where you want to eat. The website only shows the ramen menu.
We tried tsukemen, miso and chicken shoyu ramen. The soups were all amazing and had real depths of flavour. Noodles were great nice and chewy. For the tsukemen the noodles are thicker.
Annoying thing is you have to add toppings onto the ramen, chashu, egg and seaweed ect. They don't come included, so it can get pricey for a bowl of ramen. When most ramen restaurants in London have toppings included. Also tried the agedashi tofu for starter. So good! However for 3 pieces of tofu £6 is a lot.
Service was really good. Very attentive and friendly staff. They would spot when we needed water refills.
Delicious ramen. Octopus balls may sound weird but taste great.
Best Asian food I’ve had for a while. Very tasty.
The service is polite and efficient. It’s a cosy venue, with an agreeably downmarket student vibe, and the location is very convenient - a few minutes’ walk from Waterloo Station.
Memorable decor with Japanese signage and artifacts.
This was a first visit, but I can see it becoming a favourite.
Staying in London for a week and walked passed Sasuke with no expectation at all and a bit skeptical as the place was really really quiet on a weekday afternoon. We were very pleased with the food and friendly service they offer. Definitely will pay a visit again on my next trip!
Tasty ramen and small Japanese snacks. I felt a bit sorry for this place as they keep having people walk in and walk out again as they realise it is separate from the okonomiyaki place next door (in fact they share a street entrance). Had dipping "ramen" -- more correctly, it is a dish where you are provided separately with thick, cool noodles, and strongly-flavoured, warm broth, and you dip the noodles into the broth by yourself before eating. The idea is to enjoy the texture of the noodles and the flavour of the broth without being overpowered. Don't eat this if you are wearing light coloured clothes as some spattering is almost unavoidable. We had it before in Japan, this didn't quite measure up, but seems fairly authentic. The normal ramen was also fairly tasty. The only slight disappointment were the takoyaki (squid balls) where the pieces of squid at the centre didn't seem to have fully defrosted, and were still slightly cold. Probably also a problem because we came at an odd time when they nearly close for the afternoon. Will come again as it is near where we live.
Great home cooked style Japanese food from Osaka. Great place only been open for a few months. They have another branch over in Brixton village.
Really nice service, housemade style
Good service, decent prices. Not 5* due to non existing beer selection - only serving Asahi
Had an excellent ramen (Spicy Ninja) and takoyaki today. Will visit again (many times)! Thank you.
Fantastic meal with nice service. Ramen is incredible good.
Great service and simply BRILLIANT food, highly recommended.
Very good ramen and donburi!
Great atmosphere, great authentic food
Tasty, authentic Japanese food
很棒的拉麵,特別是沾麵麵條很Q~
而且價格還算合理,主餐外還有很多副餐,
有章魚燒、煎餃、叉燒飯、唐揚可選~
口味也很日本,沒有受歐洲口味影響!
