Myself and a friend stopped off at Neighbour for some food and a drink before a Lacuna Coil 20th anniversary concert at the 02 Forum just across the road this past weekend. As it was my friend’s birthday we wanted to select somewhere which looked interesting, inviting and had character. Neighbour had all 3 in abundance.
I can’t stress enough how friendly every single member of staff was during our meal. Everybody worked together to ensure we were never lacking for drinks, food or dessert. They couldn’t do enough for us including bringing everything to the table and asking how the food was. I asked one of the staff if they could suggest something for my friend’s birthday and after listening to what she likes made her a cocktail she thoroughly enjoyed. The interaction we had with all staff on duty was an absolute pleasure; we felt truly welcome and looked after from entry to leaving.
The food we were served was immaculately presented and tasted excellent. The lamb which I enjoyed was very tender and the accompanying veg selection complimented to create a superb main. My friend enjoyed one of the best dressed salads of her life, the taste matching the presentation. The desserts were rich but not over facing. Dishes to enjoy slowly and savour, I had a crème brûlée which topped off an almost decadent meal.
As we left they said they hoped we enjoyed the show. Visiting Neighbour beforehand was by far the best choice to ensure we were already very happy before heading to the venue. If I find myself in the area again next time I’m heading into London Euston I’d not hesitate to take a short trip to Kentish Town to try some more of Neighbour’s excellent menu.
Had a fantastic experience at Neighbour last night, the food was all delicious and we loved the tapas feel of mixing and matching the small plates. Great selection of wines and lovely staff. Was also fabulous catching the last hour of sun outside on the terrace with an apperitvo before our meal. Will be coming again!!
We visited on the second week of opening. Service was excellent, enthusiastic and friendly staff. Starters of broccoli with chilli and garlic and the spicy aubergine were both delicious. We had to wait a while for the main course but they were worth the wait. Lamb was tasty and tender. Trout was cooked to perfection. Dessert of chocolate caramel with salted popcorn was amazing.
We will definitely be back!
Burger is juicy and amazing, salad is ok,dressing a hit to heavy and tasteless. Can barely see any avocado in the Gem lettuce and avocado salad .only ordered it becuase of the half price discount

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a beer before a gig at Forum Kentish Town. Great food, great music, friendly staff, clean and tidy! Reasonable price too! Won’t go wrong!!
Ps Great veggie selection too!
This was my first visit to a bar post COVID lockdown and my first ever visit to Neighbour. The team were well organised, welcoming and gave fantastic, fun service.
The new beers on tap were a great welcome back too!
I will definitely be back!
Great place to watch football (there was space and tables just before Spain V Portugal, prime time match!) and really good food. top place. I'll be back for crispy chicken and sweet potato fries.
Bloody Mary with extra Tabasco as I like it. Food is good too and they have nice offers and a locals discount.
Very friendly staff; tasty burgers.
Friendly, casual dining in NW5. STILL amazing. I've become a regular here. The staff are some of the most polite & courteous I've ever been served by. We went in for a Sunday Roast today. But they also have a fair selection of vegetarian options. The portion sizes are respectable and the food and flavours are so rich and yummy. When it first opened, they were struggling for business a little, but it's more lively now with great atmosphere. Prices are about average for the area. They have a good wine selection AND they do some banging cocktails! I LOVE THIS place!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice place - quite quirky. Staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and a really nice cocktail selection. Food was ok but a little surprised to only have option of brunch til 1300 which narrowed the selection to almost English breakfast or eggs combos. Good vegetarian options though. Not sure that the value was there in the quality of food. It didn’t align to the pricing, but the staff and decor/surroundings made up for it. still one of the nicer places in the area
