Just had the most amazing fresh big bacon sandwich with two fried eggs and homemade chips out of this world!!! My partner had beef rigatoni which was piping hot, had my doubts when walked in with the area and it’s now heaving so nice to come to a bar and have amazing food,

We used the upstairs bar for a private work function for 60+ people and had a great night. Staff couldn't have been more helpful & food (especially pizza & doughnuts) was amazing. Not been out in London Fields before but if you're visiting Time Run (the escape the room activity) I'd thoroughly recommend Martello Hall for your after party.

Martello Hall on Mare Street. A bit of a gem. The house lager is lovely, served with a laugh and a smile by the excellent barman guiding the ship on my visit. The place is geared to the Saturday bottomless brunch but appears welcoming to everyone. Not the place for lovers of real ales as there are none (as far as I could see!). Everything else is spot on though wonderful service and a jolly clientele. A delightful place. Just explored a bit more, for a workout, visit the toilets - on the second floor. Great restaurant area at the rear. The place looks beautiful+ the most helpful excellent staff to help

Good food but we were a family big group place was almost empty and we had difficulty getting service attention and we noticed all baby high chairs were stacked up near the toilets with no cleaning facilities near to Them. Food was nice and cocktails were on point but as a family we would have wanted more cleanliness standards. We had a lovely time but would say the staff could have been so much more attentive

A lovely bar with great staff and nice seatings!! Asked for passionfruit based mocktail and the bar man made it so nicely!! Although it was Saturday and we did not have a reservation they found us a seat quickly and it was a very quick service to ordering as well. They have a pizza oven which looked amazing! The pizza was ok, but this might be just because we chose a interesting pizza rather than some of the classical pizzas. Lovely second floor terrace as well.

I love it, a very special place. The pizza was the best I ever had, it's so delicious. There is a wide variety of drinks, we enjoyed the Gin Cocktails. Very nice people!

If you are looking for brunch in East London packed with character, great music and a vibrant atmosphere, then Martello Hall is the place! We arrived on Saturday afternoon around midday and by 1pm the place was packed. Everyone was having a great time – friends catching up, and celebrations going on! It feels like a place where you can chill out and let your hair down at the same time! Looking round this rustic and super cool venue, I found that Martello Hall has it all. It has (i) a great little bar serving some awesome gins and creative cocktails (ii) a back area where you can watch the chefs in action (iii) upstairs is a cute snug area which you can hire out for parties and (iv) outside is a sweet little terrace! To top it off we met some of the loveliest, friendliest staff and it really made our day! I heard about Martello Hall through Brunchable which really helped me in my search to find great places that offer brunch. I was so pleased I used them because I couldn’t have been happier with my choice of brunch in East London! The menu at Martello Hall is varied so there certainly something for everyone. From hot and spicy pizza to avocado on toast – this place has it all! There is also a great selection of sides and a dessert choice of doughnuts for those extra hungry! Everything is individually priced so you can really mix and match. To top it off for just £25 per person you can make it boozy and bottomless! As we were very excited to come here, we made sure we were extra hungry so we could try as much as possible! We opted for the London Field Pizza (Chef’s meatballs, coppa, taleggio, gremolata, oregano – £14) and the Slow Beef Rigatoni (12 hour slow beef ragu, parmesan, flat leaf parsley – £14) for main. We also ordered sides of the Pecorino and Mint Crocchettas with hot mustard sauce (£6) and the Rocket, Fennel and Roast Garlic Salad (£4). Obviously we had to go bottomless so we also ordered the Mimosa and the Martello Rum Punch (above). We were very impressed with the food here! The pizza was incredible with a crust to die for! The toppings were fantastic and it was one of the best pizzas we have had. As the kitchen had run out of rigatoni pasta they made our Slow Beef dish with tagliatelle pasta instead. This dish was awesome – the beef so tender and there was a great helping of parmesan cheese. The side dishes really complimented our main meals. The salad was light and refreshing and the crocchettas were ridiculously fluffy on the inside with a great crunchy outside. The hot mustard sauce may be a little overpowering for some, but I thought it worked well. The cocktails were crisp and light – exactly what you need when you are eating a hearty meal! They were pretty boozy too and the second your glass is empty the waiters are over with another. You really feel like you get your £££’s worth! Forgetting that our eyes were probably bigger than our bellies at this point, we finished with the doughnuts (Baby Bombolini £5 for one person, £8 for a sharing portion, £10 for the table)! Thirteen beautiful little balls which were dense on the inside and super crispy on the out. We were given two pots – one with local jam and one with Nutella. Although we couldn’t finish them they were so tasty but very indulgent! We loved it so much that we are planning our next trip back! Martello Hall is an awesome place for brunch in East London and really does tick all the boxes – great venue, fab atmosphere, awesome music, delicious food and lovely staff. What more could you ask for? So if you are currently planning a special occasion or a general meetup with some friends then book Martello Hall through Brunchable and you won’t be disappointed!

I had a private party with a cocktail making class and it went perfectly. The value for the cocktail class & food package was incredible and the staff couldn’t do enough to help, in particular Nina and Myles. Would recommend for anyone wanting to hold a private function.

Cute pub close to London Fields with cool interiors and good selection of drinks and pizza. Came here for dinner twice and pizzas and pastas were tasty. Prices are on the steeper side but to be expected in a place like this.

I love Martello hall! I’ve been the past 2 years for my birthday and many times for food and drinks! They are a full service venue - brunch / lunch/ dinner / drinks and late bar & music! Lots of options for table bookings and private hire. The service can be slow due to running short staffed possibly- but the servers / hosts/ bar staff are always so lovely. Great food, big stone pizza oven in the back and plenty of options on the menu for all dietary requirements including vegan/ dairy free etc. Great drinks- beer wine/ sparkling menu as well as cocktails and in house gin! Hugely recommend for brunch/ birthday plans/ group plan or even drinks. Open mornings until 3am so there’s always time to visit!

Just imagine you work beside a wood pizza oven? I gonna to be distracted a little bit by the food…haha…but what about work in a warehouse style workspace or a lovely cocktail lounge of an old reclaimed decadence dating back to the 1860’s? That would be different. This time I tried such a kind of workspace mixing these together. London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-11 Martello Hall Category: Restaurant(Pizzeria)+Bar+Co-working WIFI: Reliable, free to use (need to ask the code) Seating: There are three floors. The ground floor is the main bar with seats up to 74 people, and inside an open kitchen with pizza oven with 40 seats. The first floor is a cocktail lounge with tables, sofas, which could accommodate around 60 people and there is a small but lovely roof terrace. And there is a power outlet under the table near the window. Toilet: 1 for female, 1 for male Ambiance: It is not a coffee shop actually, but a pizzeria-slash-bar which is stylish industrial fittings and is friendly to remote workers. During the day, there’s a comfortable first-floor lounge where you can get bottomless coffee and fast wifi, and the ground area is ideal for a casual meeting or lunch. At night, you could chilly out in cocktail lounge or roof terrace until 3am. Cost: Pizza £9-£15 Gin £11-£12 Bottomless Brunch on weekends for £22pp over 2 hours Hot-Desking £10 per day, £6 half a day (after 12pm), £25 per month.(unlimited tea and coffee) Something Special about the Cafe: (1) Bottomless Brunch on weekends. (2) They made their own Gin, even provide Gin masterclasses, and late night bar with live DJ; (3) Cute and lovely roof terrace, spacious event space, upstairs a smashing private function space; (4) Hot-desking by day from 10am to 5pm on weekdays; (5) There is a smoke area back the open kitchen. Problem: (1) The seats are quite uncomfortable on the ground floor; (2) There is not much natural lights on the ground floor. (3) The food for lunch is a little expensive.
