Just had an absolutely delicious meal with friends at this wonderful restaurant.
Excellent service with friendly and attentive staff, I shall definitely be returning in the near future!
I experienced this little jewel of a place recently. It was SO amazing I had to go back again!!!!! And I will probably need to get a loyalty card because I’m going to be a frequent visitor!! We know that Tooting is full of Indian restaurants and fast food places but sometimes one just wants some authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. There are a few Lebanese restaurants dotted about but this is the only family run one. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the clean and warm vibe. One is welcomed and shown towards a choice of tables (I was there relatively early before it got packed). The decor is tasteful and unobtrusive and the tables are quite frankly gorgeous!!!!The service is wonderful - smiling, knowledgable servers with the owners checking that customers are happy. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. I love Middle Eastern food and asked for my dish to have more of what I loved and the staff were very obliging. They serve meat but there are so many scrumptious vegetarian options. The drinks were fantastic too and we had some baklava for dessert which was delicately flavoured to perfection. The prices are very reasonable too so it’s a win win all around!!! My first visit was for a birthday dinner and the second for another special occasion. I will definitely be back!!!!! You need to try this place as soon as you can. It’s seriously good.
Came here with a bunch of people at very close to closing time and still received fantastic service. Food was great and the portions were big. Not a fan of the chopping board plate though. Service was very good as well and the complementary baklava was some of the best I have tasted
Ordered take out from here and really liked it. It's hard to find Lebanese restaurants outside Lebanon that match the quality of the homeland, but this one holds up quite well. I got the meza combo which comes with hummus, baba ghannouj, tabbouleh, falafel and halloumi cheese - this is a great value and everything in here was tasty. For the mains I tried the shish taouk and lamb shawarma and both were great! Note that the food is best fresh, if you reheat the meats they will start to dry out, so don't microwave the shish and then complain that it's dry. The garlic sauce is a bit on the light side, for which other members of your household will be thankful, although I wouldn't have minded having it a bit stronger. For dessert I tried the knafeh which was surprisingly good, another thing that is hard to find outside Lebanon. It had the right amount of syrup for a normal human but if you have an excessive sweet tooth like me you may want to ask for an extra side of syrup.
I was craving a lamb shawarma and I visited Al Majles yesterday. The lamb shawarma was amazing. Packed with flavour and meat. When I ordered the shawarma, I wasn't expecting all the sides. I saw hummus and I was very skeptical but when I tasted it, it took me back. The first time I willingly tried hummus after 20 years, as the supermarket versions were of such low quality and having tried fresh hummus in the Middle East. I will now grab a portion when I visit Tooting from these guys. Nice customer service, nice clean restaurant and friendly staff. Great for family and friends to visit. Would definitely recommend Al Majles. Thank you 🙏🏼
Nice quiet Lebanese restaurant on Tooting Road.
Went there after the horrible experience at Dawat during iftar.
Al Majles has fiiendly staff and decent food and the karak tea is amazing.
Would highly recommend this place.
First time at this place excellent customer customer, lovely atmosphere. Food was really top quality definitely recommend this place.
Enjoyed my meal here - delicious food & friendly service. I initially wanted to try their special shawarma with Lebanese mountain village bread but it was sold out, so ended up having mixed shawarma with pita bread. Will definitely be coming back for a second round✌🏼
Beyond amazing! This place had a very wide selection of food. We ordered a fatoosh as a starter. It was very well made. For main we ordered mixed shawarma and Kharoof(lamb shanks). The shawarma was flavoured nicely and came with a good garlic sauce and chilli sauce. The lamb shank was falling of the bone! The rice it came with was very flavoursome! Highly recommend this place.
