Visited this Koya as the Soho one always has a huge queue and we were able to book a table here. Really nice restaurant and the food was good, albeit a bit overpriced. Hot tempura prawn udon noodles were very nice but the Cold Udon with Hot Broth with Duck wasnโt the best. The Donburi bowl with Katsu Pork and Egg was 10/10 - delicious. Would go back just for that.

I went with work, not sure I'd go here of my own volition but it was good nonetheless.

About 6 years ago when it opened, I found it was more tasty back then than now, the price has increased too. The place was always a nice vibe but I have to say ยฃ70 for 2 People on some udon and side dishes with a pint of beer was more than any udon place in London. When I think about udon I think about how fast and efficient the meal is but yeah it was quite pricey and the taste was OK. I would go back probably once in a while.

First time trying Koya City - so much more spacious than the one in Soho. Nice balance between indoor and outdoor space (covered and no birds!!) No queue at 6pm. This is definitely where I will come anytime any day. Staff were nice but could be a bit more attentive to the outdoor tables!
Udon is fresh and chewy as usual. Hands down to the best udon in town.

We ordered a bowl of udon each. One with prawn tempura and another with pork in miso soup. Both consisted of simple ingredients but tasted absolutely delicious which is what we feel a good udon should be. The flavor was intense but still feels clean. (I drank the whole bowl of soup) we loved it. And this branch didnโt have too many people and in a very relaxed settings.

Excellent Japanese restaurant with a wide selection of tasty dishes. One downside is the ceiling, where pipes are visible and do not look good.

Conveniently located in the heart of the City, it is a nice udon bar with Japanese draft beer. It is very busy during the lunch time, but you can find free table for dinner if you go early enough. They serve many types of udon. My favourites are within hot udon hot soup category.

I like the soup, itโs full of umami flavour. The noodle itself is perfectly cooked as well. Prawn tempura is very crispy and delicious also the beef meat is very soft and moist. Even though the price was a little bit unexpected for me but it is worth the money to try once in ur life๐๐๐ป

I've been there twice now. I absolutely love their vegan Kinoko udon dish. The walnut miso is divine; the consistency of the noodles perfect; the various mushrooms are delicious. I also recommend the hot ginger drink. The only drawback is the cost, and the automatic addition of a 13.5% tip - even when you just come for a quick lunch and have minimum interaction with the staff. Worth going for a treat once in a while.

I love the udon here. It's by far, the best udon I've tasted in London. I think the Soho branch is much better but as we have a three year old daughter, this branch was the better option.

Very cute restaurant - the food is lovely and whole place has a really cosy atmosphere. They offer some more out there options compared to a lot of other Japanese restaurants and it all comes out quite fast, but the meal itself isn't rushed. Feels a teensy bit overpriced, but the warm lighting, attentive staff and gentle stream of city pop make for such delightful ambience. Would definitely go again!

I don't even know where to begin, because the food was an absolute dream! Having lived in Japan myself, I expected the "traditional" dishes when reading the menu. But all dishes came with a little delicious twist - almost like fusion kitchen! The Tempura Octopus was so tender, it almost melted in my mouth. Even the side pickles were really tasty!
The fried tofu with its basil-oil dip was a little piece of heaven!
As the main dish, I ordered Gyudon and expected thin slices of beef with onions and soy sauce, but it was beef shin. Unexpected and super delicious!
Also, the staff was really friendly, which isn't a given nowadays.
I can totally recommend this place - go and try out as much as possible, because I feel that each dish is worth the visit :-)

That fried chicken special with the egg mayo sauce was definitely something special and right up my street!
The tonkatsu was so juicy and loved all the hot and cold udon combo options. The lamb cumin one I had was super tasty and really fragrant from the herbs.
Had to try the #vegan sweetcorn and cashew ice cream sandwich which was surprisingly delicious! Not overly sweet or rich with a subtle taste of corn ๐ฝ
