The Sloane Street Deli

I came here to work from my laptop during lunch for a couple of hours and this was recommended by someone who lives in the area. The atmosphere is lively without being disruptive and the food was delicious (I opted for the roasted cauliflower salad and chicken skewer as the lovely waitress Judy suggested) and the Cardamom & Carrot cake - they were both super delicious and service was efficient too. I don't live in the area but would definitely make the 25 minute commute to return.

French toast is absolutely legendary (I would say USP of this establishment, and will be unable to find another like it anywhere else. Its that phenomenal if this would be the only product sold I'm sure they would still make a killing ), and the waitress named Judy 5 star ratings to her, she really made my experience there an enjoyable and pleasurable. She had the most friendly demeanor, was really knowledgable about the food, prompt, patient and caring. She will most definitely look after you the highest standard, so hopefully you get her. Lovely venue too

I thought prices were a bit steep here coconut drink doesn’t need to be £6.50! I ordered the trout cream bagel and it was again hugely overpriced. The French toast was sadly over hyped. It was a bit too gooey and raw inside for me. We ordered one but they sent two by mistake so got the second for free. The outside is crispy but inside was just too moist but still nice.

I love this place. It’s cosy and chic, the salads are refreshing and so tasty, an alternative to the boring and lame that you find everywhere else and also vegetarian which is a bonus. Judy is my fave here, she puts a smile on my face, we have our daily banter and she knows exactly what to recommend. She was the one that first got me into their burnt white chocolate cookie and now I’m hooked. To add, the sourdough bread here is one of the best I’ve had.
