🚇 Canada Water 🍺 £5.60 Amstel ❤️ A modern dockside boozer. . The Moby Dick is perched on the edge of Greenland Dock in the heart of Rotherhithe. The nearest Tube is Canada Water which is a ten minute walk. . This pub was built in the 1980’s as part of the redevelopment of the old timber yards around Greenland Dock. It was the only new pub to be built as part of the redevelopment of the area. . This pub is set over two floors with the upstairs bar reserved for busier times and functions. The decor is simple, the main ground floor bar is a semi-circular room with a long curved front wall comprising of a series of floor to ceiling windows. There is modern wood flooring throughout, bare brick walls and columns with ledges to congregate around. The servery is a good size with a solid wood counter. At the front of the pub are plenty of benches which overlook Greenland Dock. . This Fullers pub has a good beer selection including four cask ales. I decided on a pint of Amstel, my pint was great and cost less than six quid. The food menu was traditional pub grub, Fish & Chips costs £17.95. . I arrived around 3.30pm on a Saturday afternoon. The pub was fairly busy with the majority of punters enjoying the spring sunshine on the benches by the water. I stayed inside and got talking to a very nice local chap sat at the bar. We were talking as you can imagine about pubs and life in general. He mentioned that he had a tough time with health problems which he has overcome, we both came to the conclusion that life is for living and enjoying yourself whenever you can. . This pub may not be the most aesthetically pleasing boozer you’ll ever visit but the location is fantastic, as it looks out over Greenland Dock. The staff and locals were very friendly and the beer and food not overly priced. The @moby_dickph is well worth a visit as part of a stroll around this historic dock. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 22.04.23

A Hidden gem on Greenland dock. Relaxed, by the water & by a green space for the kids

The food and service here are of equal brilliance. We had a delicious Vegan Bangers and Mash. The kids had a delicious pudding. The staff were attentive and friendly. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the Surrey Quays. The decor is clean and modern and the atmosphere was relaxing. Will definitely return.

Katie was very friendly and welcomed us as soon as we walked in. We got a table with nice view of the dock. The Sunday Roast were pretty good too - beef was tendered and succulent and a good portion of the chicken. It would be even better to sit outside on a sunny day.

Welcome back! This is the best pub on the waterfront in South London! Great for the whole family, date night or just with your mates! The refurbishment looks amazing!!!! What a lovely surprise after being in lock down after COVID. I can't wait to spend my summer sitting in the new bar areas or outside with a nice chilled pint of London Pride and a burger and fries while waiting for the sun to set!!! Must go!

First time here visiting a friend. My wife is a wheelchair user, yet we found the staff extremely helpful. The customer service was top drawer. Next time we are in the area we would love to return. Customer service costs nothing but means everything. Thank you .

Was as big as I thought it would but that is not a negative in any shape or form. The staff are polite and the food was lovely and the toilets were the best we have been in at a restaurant. Would recommend this place.
