Red Brick Oven

The Red Brick Pizza has a simple menu, done well. The pizza is truly exceptional, full of beautiful flavour. A perfect amount of cheese and toppings. The dough, for me, was heavenly. My only criticism, and this is down to my own tastes, was that they had a couple of pizzas that had a topping or two that were "British", like Gloucester old spot sausages - I'm not a fan of that kind of thing so I opted for something that appeared suitably and authentically Italian. The prices were reasonable, for a large pizza.

We're lucky enough to live around the corner from this great little restaurant and come here regularly. The ingredients are fresh and as the name suggests the pizzas are cooked in an authentic wood fired oven. When the weather is good enough there is a terrace for dining al fresco. This is a regular haunt for us and somewhere my wife finishes her meal before me (very rare!). Armin the owner is a gracious host and always remembers our order; we're happy to support this type of local business.
