We had a private party in the back room of the pub and it was perfect. The staff were amazing and really went above and beyond to make it a great night.
The food is always delicious and the space is excellent for a private party as there are a second set of toilets in there so it really can be private.
I'm really not sure why people have complained in other reviews about the drinks as we've never had issues all the times we've visited and noone had issues on the night of our party.
Such a great pub and they are doing lots of great events such as drag brunch, music nights and quizzes. They also show the football so what's not to love about this place!

A fabulous Pub complete with stain glass windows, great bar staff and rounded off by the exceptional Landlord, Aaron.
A great choice on offer, both drink and food wise, all very pleasantly priced. A warm welcoming atmosphere with a community feel, and as a stranger in this area I felt very much at home.
If you are ever in the area you'd simply be a fool to walk on by... A great pint.

Very good pub!
Lovely place to catch up with mates or just have a decent Sunday meal.
Roast was lovely, and I also had the fish and chips here.
Staff are friendly and the general atmosphere was good.
Very family-friendly and pets, too!

The board game selection here is banging! Stopped here for a drink and a quick bite. The hummus, sweet potato fries with truffle mayo, and Mac and cheese were great. My guy had the loaded fries and loved it. Also the music playing was great.

Had a lovely Saturday lunch today. Cheese burger was top quality. Chips are top notch. Friends had the vegan burger and vegan Mediterranean tart which was excellent. Prompt and friendly service. Cool vibe. Would recommend.

We've not been in a few years as it never really had the right atmosphere but now it's beautifully decorated, lots of lovely people around in a relaxed set up. We loved it and have been back again, Amaretto sour was just delicious!

We just had the Sunday Roast from Mojo Kitchen here and can totally recommend both the beef and the chicken one. Great taste and plating. We'll come by again next Sunday!

Not been here for yonks but was quite pleasant. Only two cask ales and both at the weaker end of the spectrum but the breaker was nice. And the prices were great too, but that might be due to a January promotion. Another plus, they have a pinball machine.

Really great, spacious but cosy pub. Toilets were clean. All the staff were really friendly and Sunday roast was a bargain at 10.95. I had the chicken and my husband had the lamb, both were juicy and flavoursome. We topped it off with homemade banoffee pie which was nice too.
I really liked the decor and casual feel of the place and will definitely be coming back to try the other Sunday roast options. They also have a midweek offer (Monday to Wednesday) on at the moment with 2 for 1 on main meals. Glad we found this place.

I went on a Thursday afternoon. The food was really good. There was more squid than expected and the butternut squash pie was good quality and the sweet potato fries were crisped well. It was relatively quiet and the poor waitress was doing a sterling job on her own.

Nice traditional pub but beautifully modernised. Friendly service, good variety of options of food and drinks and very reasonable prices. $7.50 lunch menu options of burger or salad or fish n chips plus drink is a bargain. BLT baguette and haloumj salad were both very good. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Only reason not rated 5 is because they had run out of the wine I chose from the wine list!! 😀

Now reopened! Always liked this place. However, food wasn't a strong point! Visited it today for the first time since its revamp. Food was great. We had four starters, baked camembert, salt and pepper squid, mackerel pate and ribs. All were very good. The Sunday dinners, we tried pork and beef, were really good. Excellent service, the real ale was as good as ever, really pleased this place is back!
