The Pasta Bar - Harrods

Updating this with a new review of Pasta Evangelists in Harrods. Got some antipasti to share + pasta and then dessert. To start with, we got the focaccia margherita - the bread was good with the creamy cheese but think the tomato sauce could have been skipped. I got the cacio e pepe then with the black truffle which was delicious but the real star of the evening was one of Chef Giancarlo’s (2 Michelin star chef) specials - the prawns and nori seaweed pesto pasta. This was actually very different from what I have had with a blend of Asian and Italian flavours but crazy addictive, very good! To finish we got the tiramisu which was super delicious as well. All in all, a good experience! Amazing pasta options - the variety makes you feel like you are actually in Italy. Have ordered a few times now directly from them as well as on Deliveroo - outstanding pasta every single time!

I ate at their location in Harrod’s dining hall and my food was stellar. The two Italian cooks there know their business and are incredibly attentive. I had the spaghettone with lobster and it was wow. I was just a little disappointed with my Masi Pinot Grigio. Not chilled enough? Not dry enough? There are much better Veneto pino grigios out there!

I had the super sized spaghetti carbonara with grated parmesan. The service was good, and the pasta was delicious, with great sauce, pasta, and meat. However, it was served to me too cold, so I felt like I was having microwave heated leftovers, and the parmesan wasn't grated on top, but melted in the mix.

I had lunch here on a Saturday, we were seated easily without a booking which was great. Pasta was good, be warned prices are inflated as you are eating inside Harrods and I am sure these dishes can be had elsewhere for cheaper, but it was a great experience overall. Staff were very kind and friendly. Some vegan options, including a raspberry chocolate mousse. Tiramisu is alcohol free which is great too. A nice spot if you’re in the area anyway and want something to eat.
