Lovely Emirates restaurant. We got the lamb biryani and the chicken curry (with flat bread). We also got the fresh lemon with mint drink, it was perfect! The atmosphere was very lovely and since the weather was great we ate outside. The only downside was the ladies toilet was very bad. Other than that the rest of the restaurant was absolutely perfect. I'll definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.

The traditional Emirati dine. Besides the decor (which make you feel like you are in 🇦🇪), it's same taste as if in Emirates. Dined in Dubai many times in AlFanar I can still feel the warmth (need to mention one name -Monica give this place vibe, smile and good service also there is another lady - good service)and spirit of Emirates. It would be fulfilled if all Team would give the same impression and warmth of Emirates hospitality. Truly recommend Truly recommend

Very nice venue, good service. Food took a little bit of time but it was fresh so it was worth the wait. Food was subtly spiced but with nice flavour. Chicken biryani was delicious. Will go again.

Thank you so much for making me and my family feel very welcome. The food was beautiful the service was excellent. I've got to say my children can sometime be loud, and alot of restaurants can be rude. Al Fanar restaurant showed us kindness I asked them if they had somewhere out of the way. They went above and beyond. The staff were really kind to me and my children. Actually felt like home. I can't wait to come back again. You guys made a visit extra special. Keep showing all kindness to people!!!

The location of the restaurant is amazing, right in the heart of Central london. I loved the vibe of the Arabic culture and the food tasted really good, completely exceeding our expectations. We ordered chicken machboos and prawn biryani from the iftar set menu, which was absolutely amazing combined with an excellent staff service. The karak was amazing however, it could get much better if there was more sugar. There was one white lady who welcomed us and served us with the starters. The quantity of the food was above average, however, the samosas need to be more in quantity. The main course was served to us by two young waiters who were extremely professional and were handsomely dressed. A bit of chit chat with the customers is always a good thing to go for, especially when one of them knew arabic. Overall, I think the food and the service were great and I hope to revisit on 27th Ramadan with all of my friends and family before I go back to Qatar.

When you think of Dubai, you probably don't think about traditional Emirati cuisine. I don't really know much about Emirati cuisine, which is why I was intrigued to visit @alfanaruk a restaurant that specialises in food from the Emirati culture and heiratage, located opposite Gloucester Road Station.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The best way to describe the food is a fussion of Middle Eastern, North African and Pakistan cuisine. The food was actually pretty good and much better than I expected.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The focus of the menu is grilled meats, seafood, chicken and lamb. There's hardly any vegetarian options on offer. Pretty much each dish comes with a choice of a large bed of rice enough to feed a family, so trust me when I said we had a lot of rice to take away.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The starters menu is small, we just ordered a small portion of grilled tiger prawns. £7.95. This is were things started to surprise me, because these were great, full of flavour and delicious. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Lamb chops, £19 for 3, despite being cooked well done, it was still tender and juicy because of the high quality of lamb chops used. It had been marinated with traditional spices and flavour came from the high fat content and flavour impacted from the grill.⁣ ⁣⁣ Another favourite was a lamb curry style dish, lamb nasheef (£12.95) from the breakfast menu, it was really tasty with subtle sweet tones. Definitely get this. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Speaking of the breakfast menu, I think this place does the bests paratas I've EVER had. The texture was unlike anything I've eaten before, upon taking our first bite I was like wow and straight away ordered the chesse and honey options as well, which were amazing. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Other items, chicken stew, grilled sea bream and every dessert available! From the desserts my favourite were the golden ball things. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Food was very good and felt authentic. I definitely recommend this place and enjoyed the meal a lot. Service was a bit Meh, language issues. Also, I didn't notice any alcohol around us. All food halal.
