unfortunately we attended the calvary on the last day it was opened.Its closing due to the rising costs of heating and food.. its a great shame as it was the best calvary around.. and the staff worked tirelessly.. Thankfully the cafe section remains open...

Lovely cosy place with friendly and attentive staff. They have a wide range of quality food on their menu, and everything I've tried so far (burgers, spaghetti bolognaise, baked potato, fry up) has been delicious! Really nice milkshakes. Prices are decent. Great place for a wholesome lunch.

OMG … my friends have always said how scrumptious the Sunday carvery is and it didn’t disappoint. The tenderest roast beef and lamb ever. Potatoes were absolutely delicious and not cooked from frozen or deep fried. Cauliflower Cheese 🧀 nearly as good as mine 🤤😋!! Sticky roast parsnips … Yorkshire and stuffing divine and gravy wow! The best roast I’ve had in a very long time. Well done - can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Cafe/ Bar The staff are amazing and really friendly. The food is amazing would highly recommend a fry up or the Bao buns. Also it is closely situated to the wonderful Wandle river with outside seating which is great in the summer.

What a lovely place to stop for honest, cheaply priced food. Had a lovely soup and sandwich. Service very friendly. Highly recommend checking out the surroundings too.

Quaint café/grill in old windmill building and nice exterior covered extension.

I had the half a vegetarian breakfast and nicely done toasts! Was filling and nice! Tea was seriously spot on. Nicely brewed and smooth! One of the best teas I have tasted!
By that I mean, I could taste the tea's natural quality without having the urge to add a little sugar. I also got 2 and a half cups from the tea pot!
Ambience nice and cosy. If you want to feel like you're at a day theme park, just step into the extension at the front of the café/grill.
Overall nice food at a very reasonable price near a windmill. You don't need to go to Holland now!
