The Abbey Tap is a premier destination for sports enthusiasts seeking an exceptional atmosphere to watch live games. This vibrant pub offers a fantastic setting that caters to both sports lovers and discerning patrons. While The Abbey Tap excels in numerous aspects, it regrettably does not offer a traditional Sunday roast. This omission may disappoint those seeking a quintessential Sunday meal, especially considering the pub's otherwise outstanding reputation. One of the standout features of The Abbey Tap is its extensive drink and cocktail selection. Whether one desires a classic beer or an innovative cocktail, the pub's diverse assortment caters to all preferences, making it an ideal location to unwind and socialize. Patrons who prefer to savor their beverages in the fresh air will appreciate the addition of outdoor seating. This feature enhances the overall appeal of the establishment, particularly during favorable weather conditions. However, it is worth mentioning that some patrons may find the drink prices at The Abbey Tap to be higher compared to similar pubs in the area. While the exceptional ambiance and sports-centric atmosphere are undoubtedly remarkable, it is imperative to consider one's budget when planning a visit. In terms of staff, while generally satisfactory, there is room for improvement. A more attentive and enthusiastic approach from the staff would elevate the overall experience. Friendly and engaging service can significantly enhance The Abbey Tap's reputation. To summarize, The Abbey Tap is a must-visit establishment for sports aficionados seeking an exceptional atmosphere to enjoy live games. The impressive drink selection, coupled with the option to relish beverages outdoors, adds to its allure. While the absence of a Sunday roast and higher drink prices may be considered drawbacks by some, the vibrant ambiance compensates for these shortcomings. With some enhancements in the service department, The Abbey Tap has the potential to become an even more outstanding destination for sports lovers and patrons seeking a lively and enjoyable pub experience.

I visited this place because of the good reviews as I had a couple of hours to kill whilst in Stratford and I wasn't disappointed. Nice place with a friendly atmosphere and staff.But....why was I asked for ID on arrival and it wasn't age related as I'm in my 50's. I've never been asked for ID when entering a pub in my life. I was travelling as light as possible as only wearing shorts and t-shirt so did not have ID but only a phone and bank card. Luckily the doorman was quite polite and let me in but its a bit of a strange one for me. Apart from that I would visit again.

We had the Long Island ice tea and it was honestly the best Long Island ice tea I have ever had. Dee looked after us and she was efficient, polite and welcoming. If I didn’t know any better I could have sworn Dee was from Long Island itself. Would highly recommend the Abbey tap!

Nice pub to be in on a Sunday afternoon watching a football game. Good drinks. From the menu, seems not many of the items are available, including the small plates, Earth bowl, tacos, burrito etc. So in the end we ordered Peri Peri Chicken and The Melt (but with Chicken meat). 1. Peri Peri Chicken - the sauce was well tuned, spicy but lovely. Nice chicken and salad on the side. 2. The Melt Burger - the chicken inside the burger was too fried and the skin was relatively hard. Don’t recommend too much fried food here. Another bonus that the staff members were all super friendly. The pub should be famous for the alcohol though, super large collection, the Gin especially - nice menu with many options for it. In the end we had just an Apple cider and it was just right. Hope their food menu options will revive again.
