Many places boast of serving Indian street food, but, they either fail to reproduce the authentic taste or have too few options on their menu. I was therefore sceptical of this place but, I need not have worried! Not only they have plenty to serve, covering different regions on India, but they also taste good. I am yet to come across a place that serves pau bhaji in London , the way I like it!! The only person behind the counter was extremely patient and helpful, going through all my questions about the menu. However, for those who are health conscious, the menu is quite heavy on carbs. I am a little disappointed on the chana batura. The chana was fantastic but the batura was more like poori than batura. The could not reproduce the soft spongy texture of batura. The restaurant was squeaky clean, which is reassuring during lockdown and service was fast. Will definitely visit again to try out the or Street foods on the menu!!

Delicious Gujarati vegetarian food and lovely service courtesy of Kartik! This has been our lock down treat, we love this place. Everything we have tried is delicious. It's great to get home cooked Gujarati food that is just like what my Gujarati friend used to cook for me when I was a student! Can't wait to be able to sit in the cafe again! The music's also excellent!

Incredible food!! Super friendly staff who were extremely accommodating with our vegan requirements. Felt really safe and clean given the current covid climate. I ordered in advance using their click and collect service, and the food was timed perfectly for collection. The food was incredible - definitely recommend the samosa pav, samosa chaat and the milkshakes! Will be back super soon!

Very friendly staff that welcomed me whilst following the covid guidelines. They maintained a safe distance the whole time and were equipped with the correct PPE. The food was full of flavour and was very filling, I especially enjoyed the Oreo milkshake. I would recommend everyone to try this restaurant, I shall definately be returning in the future.

In short, the best Indian eatery in I've come across in London. I appreciate that statement isn't one to be handed out so easy but I've had the pleasure of dining out here a few times now and while I rarely leave reviews on Google I just had to big up the guys here at Urban Guj. They've masterminded a real gem tucked away in South. The interior is alluringly clean and refined and the staff always great you with a smile and are so helpful with the menu. I understand the cuisine to be predominantly Gujrati Indian which I was not overly familiar with before coming here but UG has got me craving Gujrati food every week now! Ive taken my gurati friends there and they can vouch for it tasting authentic and as good as home! I actually contacted them to cater for as function I was doing with family at home and they were beyond exceptional. The communication was great and they seemed just as excited to be a part of our event as we were having them! They ensured everything arrived promptly, well packed and most importantly tastes as good as in the restaurant! These guys know what they are doing and I'm so lucky to have a dependable and brilliantly helpful Indian caterer and cafe so close to home. Don't hesitate to give these guys a try whether you pop in or get take out - I think they're on deliveroo now. They conduct themselves to the finest of standards and I couldn't ask for more from what you provided at the function. People have already got back asking me where they food was from which can only be a good sign. If I could recommend anything it would be the Vadapav as a savoury and the choc Pani Puri is an absolute winner of a dessert. Had those at the function and they caught everyone's attention and stole the show as far as the food was concerned. Even if it's just a coffee pick me up you need grab a Kenyan coffee from there, it's too good. Please do yourself a favour today and just treat yourself to their food, you'll feel satisfied beyond any meaning of the word! Thanks UG will be popping in again very soon

I’ve ordered from here during lockdown and eaten in twice - have tried the majority of the menu except the burgers because I keep coming back to the chole bhatura (chickpeas), pau bhaji (mashed vegetables), dhabeli/ double roti, aloo parathas and mogo/ paneer! Has a real range of food and all done beautifully, this time I tried the idli (South Indian food) and I’m confident everything on the menu would be tasty. Smoothies are really nice also. Good value as portions are a decent size and I always seem to have leftovers... Love was our waiter - he was very friendly and attentive and all food was fresh and delicious. A great place to bring friends.

The food here is amazing. It is all freshly cooked and tastes delicious. Definitely the best bhajias I've had in a long time and the chutney it came with was even better! Halloumi burger was my favourite, although everything I had was fantastic. Amazing vegetarian Indian food. Highly recommend:)
