Great place to be! Everyone is really kind. Food is perfect, really tasty and fresh. In my opinion, if you are new to London, a must see is Max Cafe! They serve good old English breakfast

They never said " no sorry set meals only"
Or charge double because i deviated a little from their menu !! They gave me what i wanted instead. They put love into the presentation. The portions were very adequate. And when i asked for "toast" it was two slices like it always used to be in all cafes instead of the new greedy one slice cafes. Oh and the price was very reasonable. Take note cafe owners somebody out there is doing it better than you! I will drive miles to go here rather than come to your dictatorial one slice cafe.

First came here nearly 40 years ago. We used to collect bacon sandwiches on Saturday mornings when the staff canteen was closed. Haven't been back for over 10 years now and Max still remembered me. Food, as always is great value and of a good quality. Not many places remain unchanged for this long of period of time.

Since most hotels don't offer breakfast in the area were we slept, went here three days to get breakfast. Best choice ever, nice people and very good very English breakfast. 9 sets with vegetarian options aswell or fries for breakfast. With i actually saw someone order

Went in to have a well needed breakfast. Had poached eggs on toast and hot chocolate and it was cooked to perfection. The eggs were cooked and the yolk was still dippy

Max is a legend and his cafe is fantastic! Great value, tasty food and lovely staff. Cannot beat the jacket potato with baked beans and cheese for just over a fiver! Takeaway or eat in, you can’t go wrong!
