The Dewaniam

We were on holiday in London, staying at nearby Airbnb. The food was prepared quickly and efficiently, the staff were very friendly and smiling while I waited. We order for 8 people (4 adults / 4 children), so there was a mix of Vindaloo (hot and flavoursome), Korma, Butten chicken (mild but no means bland) and so on. And the food itself was excellent. The lamb in the saag could have been more tender but overall the flavours were spot-on, the highlight being the fresh and delicious naans. My family and I agreed, we would definitely eat there again if we got the opportunity.

This place is the best Indian food I have had in ages. They have a really good options of food. One of my favourite is the spicy sri lankan chicken tikka masala. Also this place has a really good vegan menu. Out of interest I tried the what the cluck tikka masala and again was impressed. Lastly you have to try their peshwari naan. Wow wow wow. I found them on just eat but now I call them directly for the personal touch and get some free poppadoms and if I collect get 10% off.

Really tasty dishes - and love the variety. We had the chana masala, pathia, and garlic naan. Everything was great! Oooh and they give you papadums with delicious mint sauce. The people delivering your food always come with a huge smile. Also delighted to see that they offer lots of vegan dishes. Will be trying these next!

Oh my goodness, this place is vegan food heaven. I have never came across such an extensive menu for vegans at an Indian restaurant. I felt like I could have it all and I nearly did 😁 The naan breads are out of this world. For the first time ever I was able to have mint sauce with my poppadoms, delicious. I highly recommend the korma, so good. To top it all of there was even dessert, I had raspberry cheesecake, yummy. The staff are super lovely and helpful. Needless to say I will be a regular, I intend to try everything on the menu that's vegan!!!

I cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant highly enough. The vegan options are simply delightful and the service is second to none. Babs is an absolute gem and nothing is too much trouble. He's so knowledgeable too, which totally put my mind at rest and saves so many questions about what's in the food (a common vegan thing). I'm so glad this place delivers to me. I have restaurants much closer to me in Bromley, but none better than Dewaniam.

A lot of vegan options on offer. The vegan korma tastes exactly the same as "normal" korma. All the vegan options we've tried so far have been delicious and we are not easily pleased! Despite living in Beckenham and having many takeaway restaurants nearer to us, Dewaniam is now our go-to. The fact that they have a wide selection of vegan dishes makes it so much easier to order (saves us the questions when ordering) and the food tastes great too. The delivery man is also very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered from them purely because of the excellent vegan range the offer (best I'm aware of in south London). Everything was great. Madras, rice, mushroom bhaji all delicious. Was recommended I try the vegan garlic and cheese naan. Was hesitant as, something all vegans know, vegan cheese is very hit and miss. But this was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be ordering again.

The reviews speak for themselves! I would give 10 stars if I could. I've been going for 5years and never had any complaints. Lovely staff. Food and selection is great. Not greasy like other competitors. Also really great value! On an occasion they were closed I had to search for Indian alternatives which were overpriced, not a great selection and the one I ordered was nothing in comparison. Super sad to be moving house and they will no longer be my local Indian! All the best from 133!
