Very good food for a good price. I had the Bolognese spaghetti take away for £5.50 and it was a large portion that made me full, unlike some other places that give small, yet expensive, portions. Good pasta with plenty of meat in it too. The plastic bowl they provide is sturdy and overall everything is high quality. The staff were very polite and quick, especially the lady that served me today; not too many people sit in the restaurant, many people just takeaway the food instead.

Just walked by and it seemed such a calm place we went in for a late lunch. Had delicious sandwiches, freshly prepared, for a very affordable price. Service was a bit slow due to only one woman serving, preparing and taking orders, but we weren't in a hurry. Cozy interior with wooden chairs and simple decoration, seems like half the antique pieces are for sale.

Small cafe but excellent service and good value amongst the overpriced restaurants of the Barbican.

I've been a regular customer here for over a month now. The sandwiches are reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. It's a good honest lunch. Although there's nothing too complicated about the sandwiches, but they tend to be quite tasty. My favourite sandwich is the Parma Ham melt, I literally had this sandwich every day for a week it was that good. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Plus the Barbican centre is a minutes walk away so when the weather is nice you can go and sit outside with your sandwich.

Extremely friendly staff. The food is top quality, not like what you get in the city nowadays (mass produced, not processed garbage and cooked way in advanced). Portions are generous and very reasonably priced. I actually go here to treat myself!! Recommended to many people and they are more than happy.

Great service and great value on-site prepared/cooked food. Proper sandwiches like the old City sandwich shops (sadly mostly dying out) and great jacket potatoes
