It's a large John Lewis with lots of products, although very busy store which can make it difficult to get around. The other issue is the store is starting to become tired, worn out, especially the cafe area. The store would benefit from a major refit.
An amazing store, full of stock great service, clean, bright, just fantastic as a multi level department store. They do this so well.
No London shopping is complete without spending an hour or more here. Even if it is at the cafe as well as in the department.
This works
Wonderful department store, with a huge selection. Many items are John Lewis exclusives, and they are high quality. The service is exceptional. Highly recommend.
This is one of my favourite department store in London. Every time I visit here, the choices of products are wonderful and customer service is very good. Now I could come here more convenient and faster because Bond Street Elizabeth line station has opened. (The nearest exit is the Hanover Square exit)
It is also a family friendly department store. The toy and baby department is very impressive, too!
Excellent selection of anything you would ever want. We are visiting from the US so it’s similar to Macy’s on scale and scope. Polite and helpful staff. Easy in and out trip. Good prices and selection. It served our needs well so we will most certainly keep all the locations in mind for future hunting and gathering 👍🏻
John Lewis at the moment is full of present for yourself and for your home. This branch of John Lewis is one of my favourite ones, however it’s also one of the busiest out of them all. For this reason, it would’ve been ideal for John Lewis to employ more staff because I often struggle to find somebody to find and ask questions especially in the technical and home department. The ladies at the Place To Eat are very polite and helpful. The beauty section in downstairs quite pushy with selling parfumes, but I approach myself the counter I need if I need to buy a Parfum. The toilets facilities for this store sometimes out of operation or just not clean enough. Could do with general cleaning. But the Waitrose in the LG often out of stock. I can never find ingredients I need, because it is more convenient to do all my shopping from one shop, rather than going to different ones.
I was looking for a evening dress for son's wedding but managed to find only one to try on. Just when I was about to leave, Ms Sharka Daniels (Personal Stylist) came forward and base on my preference and body type, brought 8 beautiful pieces for me to try on.
It has been a great experience shopping at John Lewis Oxford and special thanks to Ms Shaka - you have made my shopping experience a memorable one with your professionalism and most valuable advice :)
Since the closure of the John Lewis store in Peterborough, when I come to London I come here. Especially in the run up to Christmas to look at table settings, bedding, towels, etc. staff are always helpful and friendly, but when I visited yesterday I was helped by ‘Steve’. He was kind and friendly and was able to point me in the right direction for what I needed to buy. What an asset to the store and the company.
This is actually a nice size store. It's not too big and has everything you may need. Great offers dotted around on each floor with a lovely restaurant on the top floor. I particulaly like their IT area. It has plenty to look at and try out with again, great offers. Toilets need a little attention to bring up to standard.
Super trip to John Lewis early on Saturday morning. Lots of staff in the furniture section who were very helpful and took time with us to find the right sofa. Cheers to the chap with the curly hair who helped us! Just great to be able to look at and try so many items rather than spend hours online wondering if they were any good. Managed to get a few other bits whilst we were there too with some good Bank Holiday bargains! This store is a gem and we will be back soon. Don’t change it John Lewis!
