I intended a Thames Society lunch which was outstanding.
Lovely food and great Wines
Brillant value for money.
I would mention that the lift has been out of action for 6 months at least .
It was quite upsetting to see alot of people struggling to get to the Dinning room which was at the top of the building .
The stairs are very steep and circular.

We visited the open day today. My wife's ancestors were lightermen and the family has an indenture and press-gang prohibition paperwork. We were escorted into the office where the staff were both interested and delightful. The building itself is like many of the other livery companies, a step back in time to another world of beautiful pictures, model boats and lovely furniture with a fascinating story to tell.
