Cheeseburger was overdone and had a lot of mustard, but was passable. Good selection of beers to wash it down anyway. (Probably should’ve got the bao which looked great.) Vibe was good if a little quiet for a Friday night. Likely still getting established in the area after the refurb. Would go back in future.

I really like this place. I’d been a couple of times earlier this year, with my wife and with some friends. Both times I really enjoyed it. This weekend we held my son’s first birthday there, in the afternoon. We had a brilliant time. The staff had listened to all of our requests (which we kept changing due to people dropping out!) and they were great at communicating with us and accommodating everything we asked for. On the day itself, when we arrived to set up, the manager came over and introduced himself and talked us through the space we had, and offered to help us. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that when organising an event in a pub - normally staff are utterly indifferent! This was really a very pleasant surprise. The food and drink we’d ordered all arrived on time and was delicious - the staff were also really helpful with us serving the birthday cake and raising a toast to the birthday boy. I will definitely be back often- this is a great addition to the area. Thanks for having us.

what a brilliantly executed bar - interesting features, multiple outdoor spaces (wasn't expecting a roof terrace on the front). When we went, we were surrounded by people you'd want to engage with. Later we sat in the back garden to eat and didn't want to leave. Defo will be coming back again in an evening - heard good things about the nights there

Came in for a bite to eat and ended up having the Roast Dinner (even though it is 28 degrees outside…) - food was fabulous, one Butternut Squash and one Chicken (only recommendation to the chef would be a little bit more gravy - but then again we are northerners….). Outside area is great and staff were spot on too - will definitely come again - nice vibe
