It's the first time i have eaten at this little Caribbean restaurant on Anerley Hill. I went there because I had passed the restaurant before and smelt wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen! So I made a point of visiting. And the food flavours did not disappoint! Freshly made authentic Caribbean food. Curried Goat, Oxtail, Rice n Peas, Festival Dumplings. This is a lovely little place that is worth supporting in the local area! They also do Deliveroo and Just Eat under the name Garvey's Caribbean! The only disappointment with this restaurant is the fact that they could do a little bit more to update the decor in the restaurant, which is a little shabby... If it weren't for the outdated decor, i would have given this place 5 Stars! But it did not stop me or my friend from enjoying our meal thoroughly! Plus the place was very clean, which is more important than pretty!!! Our waitress Marley was also great! Good service, friendly and not overbearing. Plus she was ready to give good advice about different dishes. We will definitely return to this lovely little place! Thanks Rivers!!!
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Atmosphere just right with some reminiscing music. Had a smaller upstairs which was a nice touch, almost like a retreat. Food is on point.
Would recommend to anyone all ages. I am now a regular customer.
Very experimental menu and comfortably busy every night. The food is very targeted to Jamaican taste and takes no prisoners being saffroned properly. The sound system is great for big parties and an interesting decoration all round.
This restaurant has become my regular place to eat.I have had deliveries on Just Eat app and the food was excellent.I decided to actually visit the restaurant and had a lovely meal,with relaxing music and helpful staff.Such a fantastic restaurant and bar.I was made to feel so welcome, and I would recommend this place to everyone. Its first class all round.
Very nice atmosphere . There was chill out music in the background which set the mood. the food was great and we were treated warmly by the owner. Will definetely go back.
Nice atmosphere and friendly team. Had the Jerk chicken, rice n peas, was real tasty, my plate was cleaned... Check Rivers out, you will enjoy!!!
Food is excellent, the staff are friendly and fun, and the manager was great too. 10/10 would recommend.
Owners are absolutely brilliant. Kind friendly funny . Food is tasty and i love that u can have tapas ( smaller portions) too!
Had a wonderful night, food was excellent and the staff were very helpful, even though I made a mistake with my order they sorted it out with no fuss and without making me feel it was a big deal.
I really look forward to coming back with some friends to have a night out very soon.

Love this place!!!! Thankfully this is located close to my home so I will be a regular customer. Fab vibe, tasty food and good service. Would recommend to anyone who is in the area ๐

~Visited Rivers Bar as a group last week, was not feeling hungry but ordered the lemon fish meal, one very empty plate later i;m looking forward to my next encounter with that dish.....excellent,
The best description I can give is perfect, the food is fresh and full of flavour, highly recommended. I swear you have to try, you won't be let down..

I popped into rivers bar last Sunday lunchtime, I was on my own but was made to feel very comfortable and a very warm welcome, the owners mark and cheronagh are lovely people and the drinks were just as good, am yet to eat but thatโs my next visit either with friends or happy as a Frito go back on my own as was made to feel safe , you must try this exciting new bar and restaurant ๐
