Katsu Kitchen

Took a friend here who was visiting from out of town - we only visited because no where else had a table free but we were really glad we visited. The food was great and really reasonably priced. Personally, I am a fan of the reduced, industrial style but not so much of the shared tables - but I can i understand that space is limited. I’d definitely come again and recommend the food.

Pretty great food! Had the tonkatsu burger with a side of panko chips - the tonkatsu is exactly how you'd like it to be with the tender pork and perfectly crunchy breadcrumbing, the curry sauce is fairly mild but spot on when it comes to getting that authentic Japanese flavour, and the panko chips - made in the same way that they bread their cutlets, are somewhere between a croquette and a hash brown in terms of taste and texture, and were honestly so good that I shamelessly bought a second portion instead of desert. On top of that, prices are fairly reasonable, staff are very friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend dropping by.
