The very friendly and attentive staff were on hand as soon as we arrived, especially on a quiet Sunday morning in the City of London. My Turkish coffee was a highlight, well brewed and packed a puch (much needed after a boozy night before 🙊🙈😆). My egg florentine was cooked to perfection and it was ready in no time at all. And the menu prices were reasonable. The whole atmosphere was upmarket yet relaxed and warm. Definitely will visit again.

Decor and ambiance is great here, the service was fast and the waitress was very polite and ready to answer any questions. The barboun dish was nice though I didn't like the preserved lemon with it as I found it overpowering, the salmon starter was pleasant though very sweet for me. The kofte main was nice and I liked the touch of the pickled onions. I loved the fact that there was halal options on the menu which made picking dishes much more of a breeze.

Gorgeous interior and prices that do not match at all, in a good way! Food is pristinely presented and excellent quality, though portion sizes are perhaps about 2/3 of what you would expect, but still fairly filling. Weekend brunch is available all the way up to 3PM when they start to close. Coffee is excellent. Service was top-notch.

Decor, service, and food was on point. Went for dinner with my partner and was really surprised at how quiet it was for a Saturday evening, but if that is what you’re after then you’ve got it all and more at Barboun. It kinda felt like a best kept secret. The portions were surprisingly generous and you could happily go for an easy two course. Only thing I would say is the music is a bit generic, a nicely curated playlist would really boost the atmosphere! But we did appreciate how it was more an ambient element which makes it a perfect place for an intimate dinner, or a chill one with some friends. Will be back for brunch and the spicy margarita - easily the best margarita ive ever had

One of my favourite restaurants in London! I’ve been here a couple of times for dinner and once for brunch. The food never disappoints and is always packed with flavour! The staff are very helpful, friendly and always have great suggestions. The bar doesn’t have a cocktail menu but they’re able to make all the standard ones and the wine list is pretty good too. The food is really well priced and good portion sizes. We had 3 small and 1 big (main) plate to share between 2 people and it was the perfect amount. I’m unable to choose a favourite dish because everything was amazing so I would definitely recommend ordering a couple of things!

A really stylish space with a spacious modern interior. I went for brunch and there were plenty of seats with good social distancing observed. The food was excellent - my smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were the perfect size - enough to leave me satisfied but not overly full. The bread it was served with was fabulous - crunchy, chewy and slightly sweet at the same time. The prices were lower than I would have expected for the overall experience. The only downside is that there is no outdoor area which would have been a nice option to have on the occasional sunny days in London.

Booked a table for dinner after hearing nice things about this place. It occupies a big area and I was impressed with the decor. Lots of wooden panels and metal structures. High ceilings and comfortable seating area. You can leave your jackets and bags at reception and given a token to collect it on your way out. The staff are outstanding, friendly and don't hover around you. Your can have your meal in peace and have a good time! Drinks we ordered for pomegranate, basil and gazoz cocktail which was good. Coming to the food, their menu consists of five seconds - nibbles, small and big plates, sides and dessert. We had the bone marrow and blackened aubergine first. Marrow was succulent, hot and I loved it! Both dishes came with a portion of bread. Aubergine was delicious with the bread. We then had the beetroot fritters and muhlama (black bread with soft cheese on the side). Both exceeded expectations. Fritters were well cooked and seasoned perfectly. Cheese tasted fresh and flavorful. We ordered for a portion of skin-on fries which in hindsight was not required. We didn't go for the big plates bit instead ordered for dessert - date cake and the kunefe. Both sounded exotic and when it did arrive, it was a visual treat! Freshly prepared, accompanied by a dollop of ice cream and fresh cream, it was a dream and we stuffed ourselves. Prices are reasonable and we will definitely be coming back!

overall: dishes have an elegant taste. the vibe is perfect for a relaxing brunch with friends & beautiful decor. portion sizes could be larger & service could be a bit more attentive. shakshuka 🍳: very odd presentation, with a few balls (poached eggs & yogurt) dotted around. but the dish itself is beautifully spiced, balancing the sweetness & freshness from tomatoes & the spicy undertone. would much prefer if this delicious pan of sauce is served with more than half a piece of toast… banana pancakes 🥞: pancakes have a very crispy outer layer compared to normal pancakes, feels like it’s lightly deep fried. tahini cream is whipped til extremely smooth, & together with the extra syrup gives the dish the right level of sweetness. the coconut flakes adds a bit of texture on top.

The food was delicious. Special mention for the balance of the spices and the sauces. The service was great. Our drinks took really long to come. In fact we had to cancel the order as we already finished our food. No gluten free desert in the menu :(

Newly opened Middle Eastern restaurant in a trendy shoreditch hotel. Beautiful place with great attentive service. We were here for our lovely friend’s birthday and I really couldn’t fault their service. We had the set menu and there were plenty of delicious food. Cocktails are fairly priced and well made. Would come back again.
