Have you tried savoury cake before?
My husband doesn’t like sweet and so I would like to buy him a savoury cake for our wedding anniversary. Coincidentally I saw @sushi_cupcake on the google map and clicked into it seeing nice cake photos. Let’s try it😍

Sushi cupcake was order-to-make and it consisted of salmon tartare, cucumber, edamame on top of the sushi rice. The chef beautifully garnished it with spring onion, mayo, sesame seeds and micro greens. It’s absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍
How’s the gyozas and karaage? I’ll have another post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for these beautiful dishes.
@sushi_cupcake is located in Holborn. It’s a small, cozy and beautiful place offering pizza, Japanese tapas, wine, sake and cocktails. I would say it’s a fusion Izakaya and definitely perfect for relaxed after work🥰
What a beautiful shop and the taste is as good as it looks! I've tried a rice bowl today along with a cupcake and some cookies! Seriously yummy. The rice bowl was flavourful and filling. The cookies are gorgeous; crunchy and soft in all of the right places. I can't wait to go back and try everything! Fresh and delightful.
This place is cozy and cute. The noodles are filling but you don't feel heavy afterward. Keep in mind there's no wifi but it's still a good place to meet with a friend and chill out.
really good and creative, very friendly owner. I got karma once and too good to go the second time. Too good to go was great in terms of value but I would recommend being able to choose since the options are quite different. The vegetarian tofu option is especially noteworthy since it has extra protein that regular vegetarian sushi does not have. This is probably a big bonus for vegetarians.
Delicious and the waitress was super nice! Everything looks really good inside.
I had the Prawn Noodle soup, super tasty, healthy and filling.
The matcha tiramisu is def less healthy but its a delight! you can really taste the Italian / Japanese fusion.
I now have to come back to try the cheesecake and the cupcake sushis
The idea is top! Sushi cupcake has a lot to show: sushi, noodles, gyoza (apparently the best one tried in London), dessert and more!
I do recommend it and I’ll be back for sure!

Went in for breakfast - I had noodles, my daughter omelette roll and mochi. All excellent, imaginative cooking and a great addition to this fabulously multicultural area. Super-friendly service.
I’ve been here for the first time today but I’m sure I’ll pop in again. The food is amazing with a great choice of Italian and Japanese dishes! The staff are very friendly. Absolutely recommended!
Fantastic pizza, Japanese tapas and amazing cocktails after work. Nice for take away, quick lunch or a more relaxed after work cocktails and snacks.
