I only popped in for a coffee but absolutely loved the energy in this place. I felt very relaxed and calm. It certainly helps being greeted with a big smile from the Barista.

The coffee is really good, would recommend getting an Oat Latte. And I would definitely recommend the Sausage Roll from here. The only issue with this place is that things are on thr pricier side.

Do yourself a favour, try the lamingtons! My partner is a homesick Australian and he loves Blackbird’s Aussie classic. On reflection, no, don’t buy them. Leave them for us 😂

If you are looking for enormous croissants, this is the place to go to! Their sourdough bread is amazing too. Highly recommended.

Great place. Staff is very friendly (even when you come few minutes before closing times and ask for a coffee). They've got a great selection of cakes and sandwiches. I personally find the coffee is good and they do have alternatives to dairy (oat, soy etc...) The cakes are really good quality and you can find little gems. The Bakewell Tart (see photo) is amazing and I bought a Lamington I did not try but whose had been unanimously voted best cake among all the ones I had brought. There is a £10 lunch offer (sandwich, coffee and cake, if I'm right) and that's definitely a good deal. The bakery in itself is nice. Not that many tables but if the weather is on your side the terrace is nice. I like the fact that they exhibit the works of some artists on the walls. It gives the place a nice touch. The atmosphere is really nice anyway.

Really friendly crew, makes their job look easy and flowing (but they are legging it). The spinach and cream pastry is to die for. Their breads also look epic. Recommended 🙂

Friendly staff serving Best espresso in Balham, croissants could be improved a bit (let’s try chocolate, jam, almond…). Good bread

Excellent coffee and friendly staff make the most of thus small cafe. Also has a small selection of savory and sweet snacks. Sells excellent bread too.
