Best black dhal I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to South India!), so rich and flavoursome, and a gorgeous rasmalai to finish. Would very highly recommend!!!

Grand Cholan is the best Indian restaurant I've ever tried in London. The dishes transports you straight back to India and is quite delicious, especially the chicken biryani. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the staff is really polite. I‘d highly recommend this restaurant. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Must go, if you are in Canary Wharf! Best Indian restaurant in the UK we have been to, and we have been to many. The food is excellent (we had a tandoori king prawn starter, different naans and their speciality flakey bread - must have!, a fish and lamb curry, rice and a dessert). I asked for potatoes in my curry which was not a problem for them but made all the different to me. Each dish was equally excellent and the service was outstanding. Super nice and attentive staff! Generous portions and fair prices!

I have been ordering from Grand Cholan for the past 2 years but finally, had the opportunity to visit the restaurant today. It’s a great place to eat Indian food, specially South Indian food in Isle of Dogs. I have tried majority of their dishes at this point but their dosas, medu vadas, and kothu are the best. Their dosas are even better when you go physically to the restaurant. I would highly recommend their ghee podi dosa. Filter coffee was great too. Their North Indian curries are average but not bad. The service and ambiance was great. I would definitely recommend visiting!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this remarkable Indian restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The authenticity of the food at this restaurant is simply outstanding. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the vibrant streets of India. The chefs here truly know their craft, and their dedication to preserving the rich culinary traditions of India is commendable. Each bite was a delightful journey through a tapestry of spices, perfectly balanced and thoughtfully prepared. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone seeking an authentic Indian culinary adventure. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or a first-time explorer, this place will leave a lasting impression. From the delicious food to the exceptional service, every aspect of this restaurant is a testament to their commitment to excellence.

This is definitely one of the best Indian foods we have tried in London. Green chilli fish and Chettinad chicken were the best. There is also outside seating, overlooking the docks for some nice views. And the service was amazing too.

We went yesterday for my parents’ anniversary. The food was very delicious at good prices for the portions, everything tasted great. We loved the madras chicken and chocolate samosas. The service was also very good and they were very friendly to us. I recommend to everyone wanting to try some good authentic Indian cuisine in a peaceful setting!
