Had jollof, plantain and goat in pepper sauce. Was delicious! Portions were very large. Will definitely be coming back again :)
The menu is really good. I’ve tried their Jollof and their Efo Riro soup. The service is very very slow though. A single takeaway order can take more than 25 minutes (based on my visit on 30/08 @ 17:30)! Despite this, the quality of food is the reason I keep coming back.
I ordered jollof Rice and chicken and it tasted really delicious with a bit of spicy which gave it more flavour. Great presentation. The restaurant has a calm and beautiful atmosphere and great music. I will definitely recommend it. 😋👍👍💖💖
Everything we ordered was yummy not kidding, we ate and order takeaway. Boldly try anything on the menu. 👌🥂
Went to Banana island recently. I ordered peppered turkey, chips and Fanta. The atmosphere is beautiful, lovely decor and peaceful until one silly boy came in the restaurant after looking for trouble. He made everyone scared, he was looking for a knife and was threatening to stab the two guys he was fighting with. It ruined the whole eating experience, I was so scared and so was everyone in the restaurant. Eventually the police and ambulance came around. They took their sweet time but thankfully no one was stabbed. Only a minor injury. I have to say thank you to the waiter, she was very polite while the whole thing was going on. She made sure I and the person I was with was okay. She also apologised for the whole thing even though it wasn’t her fault. The food was good. As I said before, I didn’t get to fully enjoy the food because of what was going on. I loved the Fanta. Can’t ever go wrong with Fanta. Wanted to chill for a bit after the whole incident but was told that they were closing early because of the whole thing which was understandable. Will definitely be back. Once again, thank you to the staff
The staff are very friendly and kind , serves me very quickly everytime i come , and have amazing nigerian food !
The food was good although not warm enough for me when it arrived at my table. Was happy to have lots to take home for the next day. The service was great but as we were the only people in there, no music playing, the atmosphere felt a little stark
Nicely cooked cow foot (and everything else). About the best African food I've tried around Thornton Heath to West Croydon to Portland Rd (now Big Mama is gone) and definitely the nicest easiest venue to sit in in the area.
First time, I bought egusi and yam for take away. The food is nice, but for £14.99 the portions is a letdown, it should be a bit bigger. I think some improvements should be made
Tasty food, good cocktails, affordable price. Good music. Chilled atmosphere
