Finally they have just re opened with the landlord and head chef running the place again. Just brought burger meals for everyone at the office, grilled burger meals were a delight and the cod burgers were especially light and tasty with the homemade tartare sauce. The place looked fresh and clean and the condiments complimented the food very well. Will definitely be a regular.
Best fish & chips place in East London. Everything cooked to perfection and lovely options for the meat-eaters too. Good choice of sides and compliments and friendly staff. Been eating here for several years now and it never disappoints.
Easily rate this place 5 star. Since it has been under new management they have really upped their game! Food is really good in here and so comforting.You can not go wrong here with whatever you choose, I would especially really rate their cod and fat chips. Burgers and donner is also very good here. You will enjoy your cheat meal!
Really surprised by the variety they had for a small restaurant. So you have a choice of fish and chips, "I mean the large chip shop chips" also pies as well as your normal grill food. I ordered the handmade burger "very flavoursome". Would recommend this place especially if are carving the old style fish and chips and shortcrust pie.
They are friendly and a good bunch.
Whenever i visit which is rarely it reminds me of my cousin who used to have takeaway all the time sadly he passed away very young aged 28
The only HMC takeaway that does REALLY GOOD traditional Fish & Chips!
They usually Cook the fish fresh to order, and the chips are the proper chunky 'chippy' chips.
We do wish they did other chippy style foods, like HMC pies, mushy peas, curry sauce... That would make it 5*++!
Great food..
We stopped eating at Grillfellas after the change in management due to a drop in quality.. it's great to have the old management taking over once more.. quality of the food and service is top notch.
Great food Mashallah! But most importantly customer service. The owner himself delivered the food straight to my door although it was collection only! Definitely recommend rhis place and value for money.
Love their grilled chicken. Cooked to the finest. Sometimes the chips are burnt. But overall the quality of the food is amazing
A restaurant full of character and passion for good food. Customer service was on point, fast and always helpful. My favourite was the cod, wooow. Will defanatly come back with the family.
