Glory to the Caucasus!
My new favourite Georgian restaurant in London!
Upon my arrival one of the personnel said that all indoor tables were fully booked. And although I enjoyed the fresh afternoon breeze outside and my vue was an old beautiful church opposite I recommend you book in advance. Hopefully next time I can appreciate the inside décor as well as the food.
Pkhali Platter was an artistic masterpiece! Excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans.
The small Imeruli Khatchapuri was the perfect size, I even had half for take away.
Pork Mtsvadi (Shashlik/Kebab) was cooked to perfection!
Every dish was seasoned to perfection.
Well done chief 👏👏👏
Amber Wine and Pear Lemonade obviously were excellent!
I was so full it was difficult to cycle afterwards 😂
Will try Khinkali and dessert the next time.
Nice cosy restaurant. I had the vegetarian aubergine stew option and one friend had the beef soup and another had the beef stew. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I wasn’t blown away by the food but it’s decent enough. Food is presented beautifully
The service is genuinely exceptional, making you feel like part of the Georgian family. Now, let's talk about the food! The khachapuri? Cheesy heaven. Khinkali? Flavor bombs. And the mushrooms with cheese? Unexpectedly amazing. From attentive staff to incredible flavors, Samaia is a must-visit for an authentic Georgian culinary journey.
Special credit goes to my friend, S.G. for taking the stunning photos.
This place is amazing 😍. The food is delicious, dumplings are from another dimension. I tried hundreds of dumplings in my life before, but these ones are winners. The soup Kharcho is also very good.
Tried Napoleon, again one of the tastiest in my life. Will definitely return here.
Best kachapuri we've tried so far. The waiter was extremely professional, the ambiance was calm and relaxed. The bill was ok considering what we ate. Highly recommended
Another restaurant to go on my LOVE list! It's food is made to perfection and tastes exactly like it did when we visited Georgia! You won't be disappointed, 100% worth the trip. Make sure to call and reserve because seats book out quickly and treat yourself with a bottle of Georgian wine (it's soooo good). We were told 3 generations of Georgian cooks were in the kitchen and I can't doubt it given the taste!
Discovering this place was a pleasant surprise! It's a small, family owned restaurant with authentic Georgian food. The food is very good, I wanted to try all the dishes. Especially the egg dish which is one of the best things I've ever tasted! They also have Georgian beer which is very good. And the dessert we chose was super good too. The price quality of everything is excellent. The waitress is a very attentive and very kind person. I recommend this place 100 × 100 and I'm sure I'll be back soon!
Best Georgian I’ve had outside of Georgia (and certainly best Georgian in London). The walnut salad, kachapuri, shashlik, and Ojakhuri were all excellent. Servers were very nice. Really recommend
Absolutely insane experience! Amazing, delicious, truly Georgian food in my understanding. Cosy place, interior with simple but good taste and very nice staff. Strong statement which is hard to beat❤️🔥
The food is great, authentically Georgian, and genuinely unique. The ambience is lovely and the service is excellent. Getting to chat to Sam for half an hour towards the end of service was a joy. Learning about the menu, authentic Georgian dishes and ingredients, and the love for the integrity of what they’re trying to do was great! Showing British people real Georgian food is amazing and admirable! They deserve all of the 5 star reviews! Thanks for a nice post shift evening :)
