Went here for a 2 year anniversary. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The food was great, the service overall was good, and the restaurant itself was beautiful.
The only issue I had was that the manager kept on taking our plates when they looked almost empty. Would be nice if she first asked if we were finished before taking them away. It could be the case that since we didn't order alcohol she might've put less effort into our table, but that shouldn't be a contributing factor. We don't drink for personal reasons, and for the price we're paying, I'm expecting a certain level of friendly service.
Fortunately, the tall French man (didn't get his name) we had was very nice. Gave us loads of recommendations, and they were all wonderful. Even asked if we were finished before clearing up our plates. Seemed like he was getting told off by his supervisors a few times, but I think he was doing a wonderful job and made our experience very pleasant.
Will hopefully come again to try some other options.
Exceptional service. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Made our lunch here very comfortable and even remembered to put a candle on the dessert for my girlfriend’s birthday.
Quite rare to get this kind of service level now.
Adding to that, the decor and atmosphere is beautiful and the food tastes great.
Would definitely go back and will be recommending it to others. Thanks for a great experience.
A wondefully fitted out space. Lots of space between tables. High ceilings. Great staff. The open plan kitchen is large and was a joy to watch. Each dish was extremely well crafted. The wine list was good. The house wines are good and very reasonable. The food overall was excellent. I enjoyed everything we had.
The food and ambience are impeccable. Highly recommend the anchovy and chestnut cakes. The front desk and secondary service staff are very professional. But unfortunately the main service staff for us seemed arrogant and unprofessional. The 15% service charge (higher than most in London) does not come with refilling your wine or water at the beginning and throughout the process.
French style. Only has French menu. Very delicious and the atmosphere is good. Love the fries! Steak, cod were good. And all the desserts were amazing, love the coffee one. Perfect for celebrations and dating!
One of the waiter spilt red wine on my T-shirt and napkin, the supervisor came later to apologise and offer us something. Not very happy about my clothes cause it’s difficult to get rid of the stain (still trying…) but at least they sincerely apologise to me. Need to be more careful and more training regarding the service.
We really enjoyed our dinner here! Between the two of us, we shared the escargot, lardons and bone marrow flatbread (amazing and must order), pate with bread, quarter of the poulet roti (good) and the bavette (cooked well) with a side of frites and bean salad. For dessert, we had the Paris Brest which was very nice. The service was attentive and polite too.
Exceptional food, service & atmosphere. I enjoy the everything that I ordered. The meat dishes just melt right in your mouth. Flatbread is perfect crispy and chewy at the same time, topped with escargot. Man, the Pate En Croute was done so nicely, the fattiness and smokiness blew my mind. Writing this review and just thinking about the food already make me crave for this! Absolutely amazing, even though the sauce on the pork and bravette looks kinda similar, they carried very unique combination and flavour.
What a lovely experience for our anniversary. Having been to other brasseries, I must say the food here was 10/10 - especially the cheese gougères and surprisingly the Provençale tomato salad which balanced out all the strong flavours of the mains. The escargot, lardons, bone marrow flatbread was a little underwhelming due to the small size and lack of punchy flavours. Also what let us down was one of the female staff (looked like a manager) who took our plates and drinks without asking even though there was sauce or a couple of sips left. Wouldn’t cost anything to simply ask us first.
Pleasant staff and yumm coffee. Why is the uniform so ugly? I thought the maintenance personnel came out to take to order 😲We were so lucky to get a seat in this French seating outside. Fabulous, will return to dine for sure 🔅
It was better than expected. We saw 'French' and 'Oysters' outside, and we were sold. A serious, Michelin rated restaurant. But not stuffy. Only problem was, I ordered Entrecote de Boeuf Au Poivre. But I don't think that is what I received, if you looked at the pictures. It was still good. But I think there was a mix up.
