Nivan Restaurant

My favourite Turkish restaurant i’ve been too, and i’ve been to all of the ones on green lane and wood green. The service is outstanding, especially with Baki (head chef). The food was great, even though turkish food can seem pretty similar, the chef takes a lot of pride in his cooking and it’s all fresh to order. Me and my wife requested that he bring all the food together which normally restaurants don’t do, but this wasn’t an issue for this restaurant. Definitely recommend :)

We visited this place after reading some positive reviews. Service is very welcoming and attentive. The waiter was super friendly. Mixed hot starters were not great. Portion was quite small and quality was average. We had 2 mains to share (lamb chops and mixed grill) and the meat was very nice. Cooked very well and good quality. Unfortunately the dishes only had some rice and one green pepper each. Portions were ok for the price paid. Rice pudding was very nice. I would definitely go back for the grilled meat but there are by far better places on green lanes for meze.

Recently visited with my partner and we had the kurufasuliye and the Izmir köfte stews. We were also offered a tasty salad and some cacık (yogurt and cucumber dip) as a starter and some nice Turkish tea after the food, which was excellent and portions were very filling. The service was good and very friendly. Will definitely come again.

Can’t say anything negative about this lovely place. The owner and his family are polite and friendly. The food is first class (more than ample portions of well presented, delicious food). All cooked to order in comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Situated just a short hop from Wood Green tube station - highly recommend 👌
