I was surprised to find such good Mexican food in london. I was here on a Tuesday night and the service was great. The drinks and appetizers came out so quickly. Guacamole, tuna tostadas, salsas (esp. Verde fresca), and short rib sharing plate were all so good. We got the bone marrow but would probably skip next time as the short rib didn't need it. Drinks were all great but the avocado passionfruit was a stand out. No takeaway containers (just bags the tortillas come in) so don't over do it thinking you will take home leftovers. Nice, relaxed atmosphere that still feels special but not stuffy

Review from a Mexican visiting London: 5/5. I have to be honest, it is very hard to find authentic mexican food when visiting other countries. This is as close as it will get to to authentic mexican food. Tacos: 4/5 stars. To be really authentic, they need to grill the tortilla, not just warm it up. If its only warmed, the taco will fall apart after a minute or teo. At least for us the “al pastor” meat needed to be grilled a little bit more, it was too soft. Drinks- 5/5 stars. Great selection of tequilas, hard to find outside of Mexico. Service- 5/5 stars. Everyone was really nice to us. ****Take it from a Mexicano, eat tacos with your hands!!! It blew my mind people were eating tacos using a fork and knife. lol

They have really good tacos, Al Pastor and Baja were our choices. Al Pastor is a good choice for meat lovers. It is simple and delicious but two may not be enough if you are very hungry. Baja is the fish option but fried outer shell may feel a little heavy compared to grilled meat options. Nachos with some guacamole was a good compliment before the tacos.

We went for a pre theatre meal so there was some rush involved. We ordered drinks : chelada and largerita (frozen Margarita topped with lager) a crab tostada, ceviche, a quesadilla and baja tacos. It took sometime for the food to get ready which I don't really mind but yesterday having to rush for the theatre wasn't the best day for delayed food. However, we didn't even say anything to the team and they came with nachos and guacamole apologising for the delays saying they were on the house The food was delicious. The crab was fresh and tasty. The quesadilla with the crispy cheese and sweetness of the pineapple but also enough spice. The corn side dish was delicious Definitely going back without rushing next time to try some different dishes The bill came to £91 for 3 drinks and the above described with the tip.

Good food, guacamole in particular was delicious but unfortunately both the vegetarian tacos were unavailable making the options very limited. Cool vibe overall and opens late which is great for going out in Soho

Very nice authentic tacos and nice friendly waiters. To start we shared tortillas and salsa which you get free refills off! The best tacos for sure was the octopus and confit pork (MUST GET!), then the shrimp which was also amazing. To drink the frozen margaritas was surprisingly nice.

We were there for lunch and the food was superb. We had our own room, which is great for larger parties. And the wine was really good. Highly recommend El Pastor for fresh, delicious, classic Mexican food. We had the pork belly and deep fried pollock tacos.
