The William Morris Pub

We booked the William Morris for our wedding party for 75 people and had the most incredible experience. Through the planning process Nat made us feel totally at ease and was very flexible to all our requests. On the day the room looked beautiful and the staff behind the bar and clearing drinks/running food were all so friendly. The service was excellent and the food we ordered was really tasty. The next day the team had very kindly already started clearing away our decorations which made collection super easy. I could not more highly recommend to the William Morris for anyone looking for a fun, laid back wedding party. Thank you so much to all the team for making it so special.

I haven't been to this pub for at least 8 years. I can see that it has improved so much. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and service was very good. The food was also tasty and good value for money. They allow dogs so it's generally a very relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We had our wedding reception at the WMP on Sat 20th May 2023. Kit and the team worked their backsides off to deliver a seamless, laid back reception with an amazing atmosphere. We had a few ideas as to what we wanted to do as we were unsure what the weather would be like. The team bent over backwards to help us and gave us the perfection event. We had lovely sharing platters of hot food, a Prosecco reception and then an evening of drinks and dancing. We received so many compliments from our guests. The pub is a real gem. There is such a lovely vibe. The team are the ones that really made it though. I heard nothing but excellent feedback. They anticipated our needs, delivered every part with professionalism and made the whole event flow beautifully. Our guests loved the way we did our wedding. There was no waiting around or unnecessary formality, yet it still felt like a wedding. We didn't have to do much to make the venue look great as it already does. We had bits and pieces to make it our own and the team were there to help and support. I can't fault them. Excellent value for money and the pub has a soul, unlike a boring golf course with a standard 3 course meal and half a bottle of wine. For the same budget we were able to provide delicious food that the guest actually liked and a flowing pre paid bar. Result. We hope that the pub holds many more events like this. They deserve every success and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and everyone. We will definitely do another party there as soon as we can think of an occasion! Thank you for a magnificent lunch ,everything was truly amazing I had the most amazing soup from the chefs and burger and not only the food was delicious but he’s the most nicer person ever. I’m gluten intolerant and finally I could have a great meal without missing the taste. Everyone on the restaurant is so nice, I would definitely recommend the restaurant . Sandra

My favourite pub so far in Wimbledon. Mostly because of the food and the ambience. I have already been there thrice. Love the fish and chips and their Sunday roast. A must try for the locals. Don't miss the pub quiz. It's great fun too.
