Black Salt

Wow! Originally from London and now I live in Spain. I was wildly fortunate to be invited here for dinner on a visit to the UK. I realized what I had been missing. Amazing food. Super tasty and presented beautifully. The flavours blended perfectly and left an aftertaste that made me hesitate before brushing my teeth before bed. Recommended.

I have been to Black Salt probably 5/6 times in the last year or so and every visit has been exceptional. The tandoori starters are a revelation and the curries are exceptional. It is the best Indian Restaurant in London. The food has never once missed the mark and the service is exceptional, Jowet was incredibly kind to us when we visited last night as all the team always have been. Looking forward to the next visit already!

This place is such a gem. I was there Saturday lunchtime as a party of seven for a birthday meal and it was excellent food (the pork cheek vindaloo is superb) in a delightful atmosphere. I really can't overstate how delicious the food is and it's such good value - three courses and drinks, plus tip came to £45 each. The decor is calming, you have plenty of space, the music isn't loud. It was a warm day and while I'd originally requested a table in their conservatory the staff considerately changed our table as it was uncomfortably warm and that was very thoughtful and appreciated. Can't recommend highly enough

Introduced to Black Salt by some friends who described it as their new favourite local restaurant. Not normally my cuisine of choice, but I have to admit that we were spoiled for tempting options and everything we ordered was really tasty. All topped off with super friendly service, great value, and they even looked after my umbrella when I left it behind at the end of the meal.

An amazing meal on both occasions of visiting in the last 2 months! Food is incredible and correctly priced. Service from staff is very good and attentiveness from head of waiters gives such a customised experience with his advice and recommendations. Cobra on Tap is epic. On the second visit there was no space but then they got back to us with a table which was great. Atmosphere...... Maybe a little traditional music but I don't know. A ceiling fan for a bit of a cool breeze would be good for when it was hot last time.

I visited this restaurant with my husband and good friends. It was new to my husband and I am pleased to say we had a really lovely time! The whole evening was throughly enjoyable. Our meal was divine. I am not too keen on hot spicy food and the staff were very accommodating , serving us beautifully flavoured dishes, that tasted great and looked unreal- such a pleasant experience trying new flavours in a beautiful setting with friendly staff. The restaurant soon filled up so I guess that speaks for itself! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, A* all round! !

The whole dining experience was incredible! I am visiting the UK from the states and planned to come here since it had incredible reviews and was within walking distance of my room at the Victoria. They went above and beyond all my expectations! Black Salt had the BEST Tikka masala (I ordered the paneer) that I've had in my whole life! The rice was incredible and the garlic naan was so fresh! I had a genuine and delightful conversation with both the gentleman working. They were attentive and considerate. You won't regret coming in for a meal and if I lived in the area I'd eat here all the time!
