Roots Cocktail Bar

Great place for drinks , pre meal or after meal. No food menu aside from Loaded fries or Cookie dough. Fries were banging though.. Atmosphere is its selling point. First time, but will be back, before it changes into a restaurant in the new year and loses it fries. Oh yes, fabulous customer service. But only one toilet cubicle....

I am perplexed. The drinks are nice but it’s time to change the menu. The bar sometimes it’s open other times it’s not even it is supposed to be. The staff sometimes are nice and helpful and others on the phone ignoring us. I really don’t know. One a good day it’s really nice. I hope they’ll find their balance as I like to have a cocktail bar in the neighbourhood

Great experience at Roots Cocktail Bar. I visited with a friend on a Friday night and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was lovely, with delicate fairy lights and comfortable seats outside 🎆. Service was quick. Nice selection of cocktails for a decent price (~8£)🍸🍹. I would recommend if around the East village area!

Great bar and service like no other! On arrival me and my partner was immediately greeted by a welcoming host who found a lovely place to sit outside. As it got a bit chilly we asked to be inside and the waitress took our drinks, found a window table and made sure we was comfortable. There was a live music which played all of our favs and everyone in the place sang along setting a fun intimate atmosphere! Drink were unique but they we're happy to make any classic cocktail. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great intimate night. 10/10

Went on Sat 29/5 (post Government easing Covid restrictions on indoor drinking/dining). Thoroughly enjoyed.. Nice day, sat outside. Had a few drinks (Unity Lager which was on tap, Bourbon+Coke, shot of Limoncello) and ordered a Vegetarian sharing plate (olives, pickles, cheeses etc). All v.good! Nice, friendly staff too - understanding with those with kids. In short: RECOMMEND.

Brilliant service, quick and attentive - even moving us to a better table once one became available without asking. Everywhere outside is under cover, they have heaters which is a nice addition compared to other bars in the area and also gave out blankets to keep warm. The cocktails were great and well made, with a selection of classic and original additions. The only criticism I have (and what brings it down to 4*) is the selection of beer/ale is very limited with only one choice of draught on offer and even then it’s £6 for a 3/4 pint!
