The London Art Bar

Came here for a painting class with friends. The venue is lovely, service is very friendly and prompt. I found it difficult to keel up with the teacher when painting, so it actually was a little stressful for a perfectionist like me! Staff were really helpful in coming around and telling you what to do, the only thing I would say is that it’s called paint and sip but you don’t get a glass of Prosecco included. I think for the price everyone should be offered a welcome drink, especially taking into consideration that it’s called “paint and sip”.

Having never painted before I was sceptical that I’d show myself up as part of a date night. We got a warm welcome on arrival and headed straight to the bar for a cocktail which was very good. The painting began and it was a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. The tutor was very good and informative, plus there were friendly and encouraging floor walkers helping give tips and advice. The end product I created was well above my expectations and I was actually impressed with my work and how simple the tutor and support crew made it feel. All in all it was a fun evening and something I’m glad I tried. Even if you’ve never painted before I’d recommend as you’ll walk away impressed with what you created. I know it’s hardly a Van Gogh, but the red clock face on Big Ben was certainly intentional 😂 They even sell bags to take your canvass home with you to store it to get home.

I'm visiting London solo for a few days. This event encouraged me to venture out instead of simply watching TV alone. I met some lovely people in our group of 5 and there was a corporate event on in the main room. There's a bartoo. The instructor was lovely and we had an appropriate accompanying soundtrack for our subject of the London skyline. We were all pleased with our efforts and will return.
