Sidecar Coffee Bar

LOVED this place! Cosy cafe, lovely, accommodating staff. Food was tasty & their avocado on toast was natural, but a little salt & a fork gave me my smashed avo fix right out (especially with their offered chilli flakes!) Atmosphere was very quiet, but not oppressively so. Myself & my loud teenagers were allowed to be ourselves (by everyone except me. 😅)

I’m giving this 4 stars only because of the vibe, while the front of the cafe was fairly warm and cozy, the back portion felt a little like we were sitting in a garage or storage room where we would come to quickly inhale food rather than leisurely enjoy our breakfast and coffee/tea. They were also out of a few items we wanted to try so that was a bit disappointing as well. The food however, was fantastic and the staff was friendly.

Sidecar serves speciality coffee, sweet tarts and pastries along with hearty toasted sourdough sandwich's and soup. Our sourdough, pastries and quiches are supplied by Sally Clarke Bakery. Our Coffee beans are sourced from the Gentlemen Barista's based on Union Street, SE1 which make a great match for our handmade lever coffee machine imported from Naples, Italy. Sidecar is fully licensed and available to hire for private parties and events, our friendly team are on hand to make your event a huge success!
