LOVED this place! Cosy cafe, lovely, accommodating staff. Food was tasty & their avocado on toast was natural, but a little salt & a fork gave me my smashed avo fix right out (especially with their offered chilli flakes!)
Atmosphere was very quiet, but not oppressively so. Myself & my loud teenagers were allowed to be ourselves (by everyone except me. 😅)
The avocado toast was beautifully simple and disarmingly delicious. Enjoyed talking with the barista too. The perfect way to start my London trip.
I had a really nice coffee here! It’s a cute space with nice art. The food I ordered took maybe 20 minutes to come out though, and it was just scrambled eggs on toast...so go here if you’re not in a rush.
I’m giving this 4 stars only because of the vibe, while the front of the cafe was fairly warm and cozy, the back portion felt a little like we were sitting in a garage or storage room where we would come to quickly inhale food rather than leisurely enjoy our breakfast and coffee/tea. They were also out of a few items we wanted to try so that was a bit disappointing as well. The food however, was fantastic and the staff was friendly.
Delicious tasting coffee. Hidden little spot but seems popular with the young people. Nice staff. The chairs outside are a bit wobbly though.
Lovely place, yummy breakfast. Must return for their delicious looking cakes!

Love this place. We adore our regular server and the personalized attention we get. :-) If you’re in the neighborhood it’s well worth the visit for a great cup of coffee and the friendly atmosphere.
Just recently moved to the general area and discovered this fab wee place just this morning. Great coffee, fab pastries and great service, all in a railway arch! Will definitely be back to try their breakfasts and brunches.
Lovely little cafe under the arches, great quality coffee and nice toasted sandwiches. Always enjoy looking at the artwork on the walls made by the members from the studios next door. Staff are always friendly.
Beautiful homey feeling cafe. The home made food is beyond worth the money! Buying bread in fresh and preparing it all day to day.
The coffee is 10/10 and the staff are lovely.

This is a hidden gem! Basically where we got our coffee everyday before we headed out on an adventure. Great tasting cappuccino and coffee. Their avocado toast with bacon was so yummy. Must go when you're staying at the elephant and Castle safestay hostel.
So this place sells what is probably the best bread in London. I get some for me and for friends and they all love and tell me it’s the some fo the best they’ve had.
Visit even if it’s just for the bread.
The main staff member is also very polite and accomodating to me.
A real local gem under the arches. Amidst a sea of generic gentrification (see: the local Pret), this shop is attached to the very cool hot desk for independents Hotel Elephant. Coffee rates quite highly, and pastries and such look really good too.
Sidecar serves speciality coffee, sweet tarts and pastries along with hearty toasted sourdough sandwich's and soup. Our sourdough, pastries and quiches are supplied by Sally Clarke Bakery. Our Coffee beans are sourced from the Gentlemen Barista's based on Union Street, SE1 which make a great match for our handmade lever coffee machine imported from Naples, Italy.
