Such an atmospheric place. Full of character and a warm welcome every time. The food is amazing. We had everything - but there was four of us! The food is so imaginative and such high quality produce. The staff I cannot praise enough - they are so lovely. Friendly, knowledgeable and clearly enjoy what they do.

Lovely setting and atmosphere, however food was lovely except overpriced for the portion size we were given, we left feeling more hungry unfortunately. One starter was just two sticks and our pasta while pretty was essentially one layer of pasta. I think the restaurant should really consider giving a bigger portion size to satisfy customers when you consider the price point.

Great atmosphere. The interior is beautiful with high ceiling, candles, tablecloths etc. Food is secondary here , without being bad. All the dishes were lacking an element of freshness , and seasoning. Pricey, good service. Definitely check it out once !

One of the best meals i had in london this year. The place is totally hidden, however once you get to the dining hall it is totally vibrant and busy. Atmosphere was amazing, decor was unique, food was superb - from starters, mains to dessert it was all fantastic. The brown shrimp croquettes is a must have, pork and hake were all perfect. Finished the meal with a raspberry sorbet and chocolate - perfection. Will definitely come back again.

Had been meaning to try Sessions for a while and was blown away by the incredible food, interior and service. One of my favourite meals of 2023. The lovage goats curd and yolk was delivered in an understated way that belied the incredible flavours hiding beneath, the desserts tasted as incredible as they looked and the staff are super nice. Will be back 💜

Nice atmosphere. Some great plates. Got better as the meal went on. The smoked eel and potato dish was epic. Good wine list. Some of it felt a tiny bit style over substance but it did leave me with some food memories. The taste of the lovage, for example. Slightly slow service so plan for a good long lunch.

My friend and I were here for dinner last night, we thought we had a reservation but some glitch we realised the booking hadn’t gone through, Adam at the ground floor reception was so very kind to accommodate us instead of turning us away, we enjoyed a very lovely delectable meal in a lovely ambience and then enjoyed our dessert on the terrace. We both were blown by the ingenuity of the menu and really enjoyed all the dishes. In addition to what you can see in the pics we also ordered the sea bream fig sorrel and 2 rounds of bread and butter which we didn’t click pics of. Each dish was truly a piece of culinary art. So how does it work ? They have changing menu with 5 small plates and 5 mains. Anything over 20 on the menu is a main. And they recommend to order about 5-6 dishes for 2 people which we did actually - 2 small plates , 2 mains and 2 bread and butter. We started with bread and butter followed by sea bream then panisse another round of bread and butter , lovage and finished with Hake and dessert to top it off with. My top 2 recommendations would be the panisse and the Hake. You could possibly give lovage a skip but you must absolutely try Hake if you eat seafood. While on the terrace for our dessert , my friend put her bag on the floor which got wet and the staff was so very kind to immediately come to rescue with napkins and also took the dessert off the bill which they really didn’t have to but very kind and generous of them to do so. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable experience

There is nothing other than perfect to define the experience. Food, service and atmosphere were all amazing. For me the pork with green beans, chicory and red wine and anchovy sauce was the highlight. But all was close to perfection. Don’t be intimidated by the eel. It’s an amazing starter. Thin layers of potato with smoked eel. Delicious.
