Cannot recommend highly enough - absolutely wonderful small restaurant, very few covers and only one chef and one wait staff. Food was absolutely phenomenal, clearly prepared with love, fantastic flavours and beautifully presented. The chef even offered an off-menu vegan dessert, made from scratch, for a vegan diner. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing and the atmosphere was lovely. I'll definitely be coming back. You need to visit.

I have visited Gilvic a few times since it opened in September and am so happy they opened. What a hidden gem. They seem to provide top restaurant quality in a relaxed and more down to earth environment. The owners are friendly and have explained that it had been a life long dream to have their own restaurant. Both so passionate and you can tell when you bite into their food. I managed to pop in and get some delicious options to take home in lockdown and what a treat it was. And their coffee is great by the way. It is a such fantastic and wonderful restaurant!! Everything is so delicious!! Nice chief and waiter !! Highly recommend it, especially for the lamb, which is very tasty and tender!!

Forget the over subscribed eateries along the canal. Veer slightly off the beaten path for some beautifully articulated weekend brunch at this hidden gem. Fresh, delicious and elegantly presented. There is also an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. Watch out for the sign outside the door marking the entrance to the restaurant, or you could miss it.

It’s a lovely little restaurant in Haggerston. Affordable and fair price. Nice decoration and vibe. It’s in basement but with proper airing so you feel good. Really like my Seabass, and their vegetarian meals are also tasty! There are 2 Malaysian waiters who are both super nice!

Very lucky to find a hidden gem. Everything is delicious, staff are natural and friendly. Were surprised by every dish, chicken liver is the most delicious one I ever had.

We popped in for dinner and we're so glad we did! The atmosphere is cozy and the food was delicious. Guillaume is clearly passionate about the food he prepares and it comes across in the way he interacts with his customers as well as the food itself. We both had the tasting menu and every dish was fantastic!

Fabulous restaurant with friendly service where the chef takes the time to explain the menu in person. The food was simply exquisite. Recommend the tasting menu which is 4 courses plus cocktail. A lovely French restaurant which I will definitely visit again!

We had a fabulous lockdown Thanksgiving dinner thanks to Gilvic, it could not have been better! Everything is homemade, the quantity are very generous. Excellent quality food and cocktail super tasty (I wish I asked for more!)
Every detail was thoughtful: flowers, cinnamon stick, several sauces for the main course, personalised cards, fortune teller, nice note to help us to prepare the dinner!! From starter to dessert it was a flawless dinner.
We were so sad to not be able to go back home to the US this year, this dinner was a real success, best experience we could have for Thanksgiving in London.
We look forward to coming when lockdown is done! Thank you!
PS: Pecan pie was so delicious that we had eaten it all before taking a picture!!

What a great local place. Fantastic service, exceptional food and a great atmosphere! It only opened a week ago and I have already been here 4 times. So whether you are looking for a place to chill and work, have a coffee and cake with your friends, go for a date night - chef is absolutely amazing or enjoy a bougie lunch - this is THE place!

First meal at Gilvic today, found it by chance whilst showing a friend round the area. Really delicious food and friendly service. Had a starter salad of kohlrabi, pear, radicchio and walnut accompanied by warm bread and smoked butter (which is amazing).. followed by roast cod with Jerusalem artichoke, samphire and sea purslane... fantastic food, will definitely go again.

A new lovely place opened. We went for lunch and it was delicious. The service was great and the place felt charming. I recommend it for a healthy lunch or an afternoon treat with a home made cake. I think they also do supper clubs !

Lovely lunch today with my dad. We were lucky as we had the place to ourselves as it was a late lunch. Great service and a delicious meal. The chocolate fondant was dangerously good. Also a beautiful space with lovely ceramics on display and available for sale. Thank you 😊
