Very nice and rarely found Taiwanese restaurant in London, but only available for take away.
They have an extensive menu with many commonly seen Chinese food, but some of the dishes marked as Taiwanese dishes are really different. The Braised Pork on Rice, Beef Noodles Soup and Taiwanese popcorn chicken are highly recommended.
You may also order some frozen Taiwanese dishes like Turnip cake for further cooking at home!
I tried the beef noodles in here… and OMG… the flavor was so incredibly rich! It reminds me so much of Taiwan. If you are here visiting and miss the flavor of home, please come try. Highly recommended! ❤️
Great food and the staff is amazing. I don’t visit London often but I will definitely be stopping back again to eat here. Check them out if you’re in town!
There was a mix up with my order but the restaurant went above and beyond to fix it and redeliver my food, which was delicious, all the dishes were really good :) thankyou
Not tried many dishes from here but from the food I did have for takeaway was seriously good. The chicken chow mien was tasty and generous in portion size! Staff were super polite and service was super speedy! Will come back when I have my next craving for Chinese food!
Canaan Chinese Take away, really impressed me yesterday, I just pop in to get something small to munch on and I was met by the most friendliest warm reception. Canaan Chinese is now my favourite shop, I will DEFINITELY be ordering from them. The staff treated me with respect even though I purchased something small. You can tell the bad reviews (the one says I wish I can give 0star two months ago in Sep has same format 5years ago, and that review about container snapped looks like cut by scissors, you can tell they are really fake comments)
This was my first time to try canaan as my regular Chinese closed. I was a bit sceptical at first as the prices are cheaper compared to my past few take aways i tried. For a safe bet l went for set meal c. Everything was still hot when I received it and the portions are generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh. As l didn't know what to order as this wasn't my usual take away, the lady at the counter was very helpful talking me through the dishes and given me suggestions, without being too busy. I didn't have to wait long which I was prepared to do given it was a Friday evening and everything was cooked to my specifications.(I am quite picky. The meal was tasty and still cheaper then most other s. I recommend Canaan's for your local Chinese if you live in the local area.

This place serves up great traditional Taiwanese Chinese food. These lower review ratings are a complete nonsense by people who don’t understand good traditional, Asian home cooking. Braised pork belly and tomato egg are particularly good. Two thumbs up! Give them a try if you’re looking for an authentic option.
