Absolutely scrumptious food.. Just wonderful tastes and variety. Very friendly staff and we took a "doggy bag" home. The birthday cake desert was perfect, and that from someone who isn't normally a cake person! Thoroughly recommend. It was lunchtime, so did not test the cocktails, but hear they too are very worth sampling. Thank you Josh and company.

Firstly, the staff were fantastic. Really welcoming and super helpful. Plus attentive to our needs. The food was incredible. Big punchy flavours but all balanced perfectly. Great textures and fresh. Highly recommend this

Couldn't be have been a better fit for us to celebrate our engagement - we LOVED the food, especially the dishes pictured; butter roasted scallops with yuzu-truffle-egg sauce, padron peppers with mustard miso & lemon, black cod marinated with yogurt, den miso & Japanese curry paste and a dreamy hot chocolate mousse with coconut ice cream parfait. A really special night (graffiti is sanctioned with hanging pens on the walls on the way down to the bathrooms downstairs...)

Ichi, Ni, San! SAKI! *Slams on the table* (Sakibomb drops) 🍻🍵wooooooo Great fun at the Double dragon. Really cool open bar/Kitchen with arcade gaming vibes. Fluorescent lighting gives this place an edge. Simple menu with incredible taste on delivery. Beef tataki, miso aubergine and BBQ pork belly buns are a must! I'd actually argue the whole menu is worth ordering. Even the various mushrooms in a foil wrap and oven baked is a party pleaser. Cocktails had modern Japanese twists and order the saki bomb, even for just the fun of doing it. Staff were very attentive and service was spot on! You might want to be hungry when you go 🤤

Wow! Loved the food at Double Dragon, great place for Japanese fusion. The nasu dental I (miso aubergine) was so sticky delicious - beautiful flavours in the scallops and, we ate our way through the menu and had no complaints!! Photo of beer marinated tofu- yum!!

Popped in here at lunch time expecting it to be busy, based on how it seems in the evenings. But it was very quiet at 12.30 on a Saturday. We were initially the only people sat outside, but all the seats were taken by the time we left. Inside though remained quiet. The food was beautifully presented and made, all small sharing plates. All tasty in various degrees. I think everything came with some kind of sauce that really helped make the dishes. For example the jerusalem artichoke done like an elongated crispy spring roll, made more special by the truffle ponzu dipping sauce. Some dishes though I expected to be slighty spicier or have stronger flavours. Notably the confit duck with watermelon, and pork buns (although Jay Rayner's recommendation). My faves were all the smaller side dishes; chips, jerusalem artichoke, padrons. The retro arcade game theme encompassed into the design of the menus, the "cheat codes" (aka a dictionary of Japanese food terms), and various posters inside, will all appeal to guys of a certain age who remember playing Double Dragon and similar back in the eighties.

Too good for a popup restaurant. I hope it will be turned to a permanent one very soon. All dishes were exceptional in both, taste and presentation. It's all about quality not quantity. Make sure not to waste any of the dishes' sauces! We had a very special cocktail suggested by the bar tender with a Berry base. Above all, very good service by a very friendly team...Highly recommend 👍

Great selection of interesting dishes, relaxed vibe. Cocktails all a little sweet, and an expensive meal but there’s a lot of care and attention that goes into each dish.
