Best Sunday Roast I’ve had. The dish came with lots of vegetables on the side, everything was really tasty. Many different choices on draft beers, good refreshing and easy cocktails for lunch time. The room is very spacious and there is an outside area. The staff is friendly and when we went there was a lovely live band.

We came for a nice, sunny Saturday light lunch. Amazing service the minute you walked in. Sara was one step ahead of our thoughts and knew exactly what we wanted. The cauliflower wings and sweet potato plates coupled with a bubbly prosecco were just on point. 🤌🥂 We'll be back.

Very nice pub with good food. The lamb shoulder was a little fatty so I asked for less fatty slices which they did give me. Reasonably priced and good service on Sunday.

Friendly staff who served an excellent range of food and drinks. Would recommend coming here if you're in the local area. It's very close to some of the other areas such as art gallery nearby.

The best vegan fish I have ever experienced. The Interieur is amazingly cozy and the service outstanding friendly. I will definitely return when coming back to London one day.

Dare I say but it’s a bit of a hidden gem with a great story about its reopening led by a number of well versed chefs. It’s still finding it’s feet and wasn’t that busy but the food is brilliant, service was faultless and great beer selection. Been twice and I will be returning!

Pretty nice English bar and restaurant located by a short walk from the river Thames. Nice service, the finger food we got there was pretty good and a nice choice was offered. Good selection of beer and wine. There is a small garden area in the back where you can sit outside and enjoy.

The Jolly Gardeners 📍49-51 Black Prince Rd, London SE11 6AB 🚇 Vauxhall 🍺 £6.00 Forest Road Posh Lager ❤️ One of SE11’s finest pubs. . The Jolly Gardeners is located on a quiet backstreet in Vauxhall. Vauxhall Tube is just a ten minute stroll away. . This pub was built 1880 and has some showbiz claims attached to this pub’s heritage. Charlie Chaplin’s father used to play the piano in here and was a regular fixture in many of the pubs of the area. Also, a scene from the film Snatch was filmed in here, it was the scene when Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) made the “shrinking balls” speech with his Desert Eagle 5.0. . The decor here is simple but elegant, there is an open and spacious feel in this two bar pub. The left hand side bar is set up for the wet and the right bar is laid out for a full on Gastropub experience. At the back of the pub is a cosy covered beer garden complete with TV. . The beer choice here is a celebration of London breweries and the finest imports from across the continent. My tipple on the visit was a pint of Forest Road Posh Lager which hails from Hackney brewery @forestroadbrew ,my pint was top notch and I really enjoyed it. The food here is on another level and receives many accolades. The inquisitive being that I am, I thought I would sample something from the lunch menu. I ordered the Smoked Haddock & Samphire with Mango Bhaji’s with Per Peri Fries. The food was out of this world and left me with a comforting zing in my mouth. . I arrived just after opening on a Friday lunchtime, apart from three punters in the dining section I had the pub to myself. The playlist was easy going jazz which set a relaxing vibe to spending time here. The service was great, I was served by a top fella who was so laid back he should have been horizontal. . @thejollygardeners is the highest rated pub in the area and for good reason. This pub supports London’s amazing breweries and has a wizard chef in the kitchen. The service here is first class and you’re made to feel very welcome. I couldn’t fault this place, a top top South London pub. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 11/11/22

Love the reinvention of this venue. Food has the staples (burger etc) alongside other really interesting dishes (many vegan) - indeed some of the dishes have a fair amount of process behind them and are delivered excellently. My only note is that many/most have sweet overtones which is not my preference.
