Sam Sandwich

This guy is a certified food genius. Worth hunting this understated food corner down. The smell as you get near, and then that sandwich that arrives. I had the meat special, chicken and marguez sausage. My partner had the mince sandwich to start. He then very quickly ordered the liver sandwich. That is saying something when you consider my partner brings his own food and drink to everything. But even more so I love that liver sandwich. And I really hate liver. I highly recommend this little gem hidden in the market.

Fab sandwich shop, hidden in Shepherds Bush market. £6 for a cracking sando with a choice of meat, chips and egg. We had one chicken, one mince, both of which were delicious. Cash only, but there's a free cash point across the road. I've been to the excellent Mr Falafel - a few seconds away - many times while living nearby without ever knowing Sam's existed. Lost opportunities!

Sam Sandwiches is a well priced Algerian street food spot next to Sheperds Bush Market. You can access it via one of the entraces to Sheperds Bush Market or through a narrow alley off Uxbridge Road (turn right on Lime Grove). It is an unassuming location, seating four to six people. Sam Sandwiches menu is simple with five meats to choose from, including lamb’s liver, merguez, marinated chicken, and a fish fillet. There are also traditional dishes including tangine. The hero sandwich is the Sam's Merguez Sandwich (£5.00) which combines spiced sausage, potatoes, egg and a choice of a spicy sauce. Every sandwich is served in a thick pita bread that is grilled giving it a crunchy in the outside, moist in the inside consistency. The Merguez Sandwich is a joy - full of flavour, stuffed and large enough to be superb value. The service provided by Sam, the owner and chef is cordial and friendly. Bite for bite, Sam Sandwiches offers the best priced, best tasting sandwiches in London. Keep in mind Sam Sandwiches is a cash only establishment.

This sandwich shop was mentioned in an article and wanted to try it out. At first we were a bit suspicious because it was very hidden in a side alley and didn't look inviting. We ordered one merkez and one chicken sandwich, which were freshly prepared. We were not disappointed. They were the best sandwiches I have ever had. Super friendly service, great meat and extremely tasty. I can only recommend everyone to try the sandwiches, you won't be disappointed.
