Maybe the best curry in London? The depth and intensity of flavours was really mind blowing. And we absolutely loved eating here, it will not be my last visit to this wonderful restaurant.

My experience was two fold. First: I found the food great. I am not indian but I travelled the country a few times, and ate in other regarded Indian restaurants in London. As said, I loved the food, which I found full of flavours and aligned with my expectations. I tried onion bhaijs, paneer and roti. Size was also good for me, I prefer smaller plates so I can try more. Staff suggested a small, a large and roti or rice and I found this a good combination. Second: the location is quite small. We know the deal here, with the renting in London these days, you need to use any space, I get that. However, I was dining alone, sitting at the counter, but not at the bar, at the wall. The space was tiny, no places where to hang my jacket, and the experience was honestly not great. Again, I understand perfectly the why, but in the end, dining is the entire experience, and this one didn't make me fully happy. I am giving 4* stars, and I will hopefully give another try, maybe with companions, and outside!

We dined here on a Sunday afternoon and we it was a delightful experience. The service ambassadors were all knowledgeable and their recommendations on the sharing plates were helpful. The food is on another level and it’s the best South Asian food I’ve experienced in the UK by a long way. It is not cheap though so be prepared to spend £30-50 per person.

Came on a sunny weekend and managed to get a seat outdoors! The food tasted amazing however, the portions were pretty small in comparison to the prices - we would’ve liked slightly more of everything… Would definitely recommend getting the mango lassi!

Sat outside on the covered side terrace for weekend lunch where tables were nicely protected from the elements. The other/front terrace was half in the shade with uncovered tables for those who prefer to bake in the sun. Really enjoyed the small plates: lollipop chicken (x4) was wonderfully spiced with a bit of a kick, okra fries nicely crisp in curried batter, onion bhaji (x4) with vibrant herby/spiced green sauce vanished so fast I didn’t get a photo (but high ratio of onion to batter/not stodgy and good/crisp texture). The large plates were enjoyed too: chicken curry had lovely rich flavour (clearly reminiscent of Roti King) and lamb curry was beautifully cooked, Channa Bhatura was nice to try for the first time although the chickpeas weren’t as flavoursome as the curries. Having said that, large plates weren’t very hot on arrival (just above luke warm) and we felt the curry serving size could have been more generous for the price (~£13 each with no accompaniments). Service was personable/efficient although being recommended 6-7 plates for three people, regardless of whether we chose small or large plates, didn’t make sense to us until we saw the curry serving size. In the end, 3 x small, 3 x large & 3 x roti was enough for three adults. Would definitely visit again to have the lollipop chicken/okra fries and try other dishes but would request all food is served piping hot. Would be helpful to have wet wipes provided given most dishes were eaten with hands.

Absolutely great. Some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Very well balanced in spice, seasoning and textures. Great atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and nice. An absolute treat. Also, best mango lassi I've ever had!

Absolutely delicious food served on a nice neighbourhood pub in Islington. Highlight was the bhaji and lamb chops! It has an amazing authentic taste and overall the spices are perfectly balanced. Mango Lassi as desert was amazing.

First time visiting Tamil Prince and it didn’t disappoint. Was already packed out at 5.45pm. Shoutout to our server Glen - super helpful in explaining the dishes and why some were popular. I had a beer and misses had a gin cocktail - Pendennis Club (sweet & sour) which was very nice. They advised us to share 5 dishes between 2 people but we went for 3 starters and 1 main. We ordered: Okra Fries - very moreish and crispy, would’ve ideally liked a bit of garlic twist but still good (7/10) Masala Dosa - surprisingly banging (Glen recco) nice small folded over and was very good (8.5/10) Lolipop Chicken - used to having it grilled but this was fried, it was decent but needed to have the sauce for flavour (6/10) All the food came together but we were juggling between the butter paneer and chana bhatura. Greg said both were really good so we ended up choosing the paneer. Paneer Butter Masala & Roti x2 - banging!!! Was really nicely flavoured and the fresh roti was sooo good. Putting them together was just pure joy. (9/10) Would definitely recommend, was very tasty and staff were super friendly.

We had okra fries, chicken lollipops, dhal makhani and the lamb chops. And all dishes were amazing, well seasoned and prepared. We've been wanting to try this place for a while, but it was always booked out. So make sure to book about two weeks in advance, if you want a table for dinner. Lunch is definitely easier, but you should still make a reservation. It can be a bit crowded, when you're sitting at the counter.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere here which was more relaxed. Between the two of us, we shared the onion bhaji (great texture and taste), chicken lollipops (slightly spicy but good flavour), lamb chops (good but slightly pricey at £32), chicken curry (my favourite) and a side of roti and coconut pilaf rice. The service was helpful and food came out quickly. My friend said the cocktails were good and there were a good amount of tasty non alcoholic options as well which I appreciated.
