What a great place, not only is the food delicious but the staff and service were great, they have their own vibe and you can feel they are enjoying what they do. The music was fun and will be going back for sure!! We had the asparagus tartlet with ricotta and peas and wow was that good, the other one that I loved were the mussels cooked in cider, the depth of flavor and uniqueness just made them outstanding, the fries even if they look simple were made to perfection, crispy and salty! Will be coming again to try the rest for sure!

We started with a variety of welcome cocktails including a strawberry infused Bloody Mary, Peach martinis, and saffron vermouth all made by Sharon, an in house mixologist. Starters consisted of shared plates of rye bread and estate dairy butter, grilled morteaux sausage with a pungent mustard, chicken girolle terrine, and the most decadent but simple mozzarella with fresh fig and elderflower vinegar. Each dish, especially the last, highlighted ingredients at their seasonal best. Oeil, along our server and sommelier Lewis, expertly paired 3 natural wines to go with the 9 course meal, ranging from an acidic Slovakian white to a rich Piedmontese red. In the end we ended up drinking 4 bottles, one being a gift on the house šŸ˜‡ The wines complemented the mains: first cantabrian anchovies on toast drenched in butter; then a grilled mackerel on a bed of fermented tomato chutney, and finally a charcoal BBQā€™d pork chop, swimming in its own jus alongside fermented apricot and frites. The chic atmosphere and flowing wine lended itself to a jovial night. We forgot about time and where we were, and just enjoyed the hospitality of Lewis and Sharon. We were all smiles when dessert came around, a light choux bun filled with custard and seasonal Victoria plum compote with a side of cheeky homemade meloncello. Shared amongst 7, the bill came to Ā£84/person for the 9 course menu with many drinks, although you could certainly have a substantial meal here for quite a bit less and likely leave equally pleased. Bottle and Rye is truly a neighborhood restaurant. A place where the team gets to know you, where you see the food being cooked, hear it and smell it. Eating here felt like a conversation. In fact, the staff was constantly talking to us, taking care of us, and removing whatever barriers there were between host and guest. This is gem of a place and judging by the packed atmosphere on a Wednesday night, the neighbors certainly know it.

If you are in the mood for some evening skin contact (of the wine kind), great food and friendly service then voila. Strong natural wine menu (or low intervention if feeling fancy) and fresh food (lots of vegetarian options) and good dessert are all to be found at Bottle + Rye. Just donā€™t go to the loo. There thereā€™s other kinds of skin contact.

My favourite place in Brixton! You can honestly never have a bad time here. The food is always bang on. The wine list is great and you can always ask for a recommendation. The cocktails are ever changing and amazing. The service is so warm and friendly. Do yourself a favour and get that anchovy toast.

I went here with my girlfriend for some lunch and the service was amazing. The food was magical. Food was fresh and perfect for this hot weather weā€™re having. Cold soup what a genius idea. Cocktails were banging too so yummy.

Cool spot in Brixton. The food was really good! We especially enjoyed the pork chop with pineapple salsa and the beetroot and ricotta. The wine is great and reasonably priced. Would recommend booking for indoors.

Had a lovely couple of glasses of wine here! Great wine list, lovely service and a good atmosphere. Recommend for a chilled night of wine and catching up with a friend, or a good date night as well.
